Do you believe in the John Sarno approach to curing back pain? That's what worked for me,

your approach literallay IS the 'medical model', it's much the same as the physios and chiros: muscular and structural activities, and no focus on trauma and suppressed emotions

Chronic lower back pain will take you to a level of depression you can never imagine.

This spinal fusion x-ray doesn't look good. It looks like they didn't replace the damaged disc with a spacer to let the vertebrae fuse. You can see Luigi had spondylolisthesis, and they didn't fix it.

You hit it on the head brother. I was told after fusion surgery that depression is common with back/neck pain after the surgery for a variety of reasons, and to reach out if it occurred. Fortunately I recovered well. And you are absolutely correct that diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle are key. I feel bad for this kid in a way, but nothing justifies what he did

No sympathy for the healthcare companies.

anger and lack of sympathy towards the health care insurance industry is understandable. But murder is not when there were other avenues to take; yet, people need help with chronic pain! it's a wake up call for the industry to be more compassionate and maybe the US should move towards universal healthcare. There's something kind of immoral about profiting off of people's health issues anyway.

Murder is never okay. The Healthcare system, and insurance is corrupt to the core. Literally about anything you get done is 30k and insurance pays third parties to deny claims to try and make more profit. It is ridiculous and I hope the new person in charge in the government side stops the corruption and profiteering off of sick and suffering people. Maybe those CEOs will realize they have some responsibility, and this moment will be a movement in the right direction from the wrong reasons.

Months ago I stumbled across your videos. From all the ones I watched, YOU gave me HOPE. Months later, with your tips and encouragement, I am pain free most days but continue to stay active and exercise. It will be my way of life forever! I am not even sure how I even ended up with L5/SI ruptured disc but you're right... The pain is isolating and can be horrific.
Keep on helping others! You really make an impact!

I'm not American, and I don't condone what he did, but there's no revolution that did not start with violence, just like there are no safety regulations written in blood. The USA is the only first world nation without universal healthcare. I'm from a third world country, and even us have universal healthcare.

When push comes to shove, the public will fight back. It could be anyone, just happened to be him.

I suffer from chronic pain. It’s been 4 years since I injured my back lifting a dumbbell wrong. The depression and dark place it took me to was instant. I never experienced the depression in my life prior to the injury. So I knew it was the back pain. I got an MRI and told the MRI specialist I think my back pain was making me feel down and depressed. He rudely said I need to talk to another doctor and my back wasn’t the reason why I was feeling down and depressed. I was extremely frustrated with the MRI specialist and knew that day I was going to have to figure this pain out on my own. The medical industry wasn’t going to help me. I haven’t seen a doctor since. I still deal with chronic pain but it is getting better. I agree that in most cases the medical field isn’t a help for chronic back pain

You are absolutely right. Of course, there is no excuse to kill another person, but the guy obviously was not in the right state of mind because of the chronic pain and depression.

Nice chat. It's true we as individuals need to manage our own medical care while taking in western and eastern methods. I'm a combat veteran suffering from chronic back pain as degenerative disc disease. In addition to other service connected disabilities. It's a difficult path to walk alone and finding tribes such as yours is necessary. Thank you sir.

Same thing I hurt my back when I was 19 and diagnosed with two herniated discs I'm 33 now and alot better from doing exercises for years to strengthen my core and glutes. Now I have a partial slap tear in my shoulder haha I can't win. Also I live in Hamburg New York and in the last two weeks we've had three storms. One with four feet of snow one with a foot and now today we got another 5 feet. Shoveling is killing me man haha

I also had a spinal fusion in my lower back. It was for spondyolisthesis as well, and it was in 2022. I’ve been worse in many ways since, and I have saw doctors in many different specialties (PT, pain management, orthopedics, etc). My surgeon didn’t see me for a follow up, because my insurance company did not pay for the MRI. No doctors have confirmed by imaging that my spine has even fused! No X-ray or cat scan, saying my original surgeon (whom I cannot see due to the MRI denial by the insurance company that I had at that ) should be handling that. I did have an MRI recently, that my new insurance provider actually paid for. It didn’t find any fusion but my doctor of orthopedics said that all my hardware (6 screws, 2 rods, 2 spacers that I recall) could be corrupting the MRI. I’m 44, a stay at home father to 3 young boys (ages 9, 7, and 3), and homeschool the older two boys. I workout still and take precautions to limit the pressure on my spine. I don’t take addictive pain medication, and NSAIDS have caused bleeding since my surgery. I’m really trying to make the best of this situation. Kratom has been effective for pain relief better than any prescribed medication. I really stay up to date with Dr. Stuart McGill and his information. I had a wonderful Dr of Physical Therapy who I saw for 6 months. He helped me the most, and I am unable to see him again because my insurance company didn’t pay him… the journey continues.

So, a CEO who intentionally drives down approval rate of medical claims and thus causes thousands to suffer and/or pass away is not a murderer. Got that.

Tbh he got so misled by our corrupt system. I had a neck disc herniation and paid 22k outta pocket to get a microdisectomy no fusion or hardware and made a full recovery and only a 5 mm incision with endoscope from back.
They cleaned area washout and got rid of fragments.
So many people getting unnecessary treatment and life long suffering.
So many Dr push ADR or fusion as it’s a 1 size fits all and they make $$ on hardware. Thankfully I did my research to find right Dr
