I just got this Ninja monitor and had no idea I also had to get all these accessories just to use it! For something that cost $300 to $400 some of those accessories should have been included with the unit. But, good tutorial anyway! 👍🏾

Question?? Can I use this monitor with and old mini DV tape GL2 camcorder?

Boy this video was so valuable. it changed my entire Amazon basket. I'm thinking instead of getting an expensive camera that can record prores I could get a cheaper one with this external recorder and in any time if I want to upgrade to a better camera all I have to do is to change my camera when they become more affordable and still i can use them with this amazing external monitor. Thank you a lot

Man I’ve watched tens of videos and if you own a Sony ILME-FX30 Cine cam DO NOT BUY THE ATOMOS NINJA V PLUS . You will be wasting your money your time your health so much Nerves with the Atomos support for 5 weeks now I can record video but no audio at all and what amazes me all the big heads at Atomos with all the trundle shootings no one could resolve my issue now one of there support team in Pakistan or not sure what country he keeps asking me to send him a video to troubleshoot the issue ! I am not understanding what a video will do or troubleshoot with no audio can someone tell me ! I will say do not through your money away . I am so fed up I am about to take them to court as big as they are and small and old as I am I will this is so frustrating I have to sell all my Sony SSD cards lose so much money and already bought a 500GB and 1TB Angelbird AtomX SSDmini 1TB Atomos SATA III Recording SSD bought 3 HDMI cables one for $69.00 no two others $30 each and nothing work . I had about 7 deferent monitors latest is the Shotgun 7 and the CAST along with the ninja v plus I’ve sold all my equipment just kept the ninja and still not working the cast and the 7 Where brand new lost $500.00 on eBay and till now my problem is not resolved I am wasting a whole day each day till I get tiered and stop . DO NOT TOUCH ANY ATOMOS PRODUCT NO ONE CAN TROUBLESHOOT THERE ITEMS MAYBE YOU HIYS KNOW MORE THAN THEM .

I have the the a7siii and i was thinking of getting the Ninja 5 and i just wanted to ask if will i be able to record normal 1080p on the ninja? Because most of the work that i do the client just wants normal 1080 no complicated staff…..

Hey just curious can Ninja 5 record in higher resolution than what my can... For example my A74 shoots 4k 422 but it has 33mp sensor so can Atmos let me use all of that and shoot in 6k 422??

I can’t find this answer anywhere: can you import from the SSD SATA drive to an iPad Pro via an adapter to usb-c? I edit video on an iPad and am not sure it will be compatible with the type of SSD the ninja uses.

Do the touch setting from your actual camera work on the ninja ?

This video was extremely helpful. We recently got a Ninja V, and used it for the first time today. The quality is so much better from what we were using before. But I was a bit surprised at the file size that was being produced. A 30min clip was roughly 50GB (1080pHQ, not 4K). Is that normal? Is there a way to reduce the file size for ease of transfer and use? Or is this normal for how the Ninja V works, and I was just unaware? LOL!! Are there settings to consider to reduce file sizes?

Hi Chris, I just got my Atomos Ninja V, but does it matter which mode I have my camera in? Normally I hit record from the custom 1,2 dial to quickly go between 24 and 120fps, but I noticed that when I shoot from the custom 1,2 dial the recording on the SSD shows a 4:3 ratio and not the 16:9. Do I need to turn the dial to movie mode and then hit record on the Atomos?

I have a 90D and would like to record 4K60. Only problem is that the 90D maxes out at 4K30. If I set the 90D to a clean HDMI out, would I be able to record 4K60? Also, would I be able to record either 4K30/4K60 in proRes?
