We’ve unfortunately started the new year with 2 deaths in the (extended) family and then everyone in our household got a terrible cold. We’ve been surviving on takeout and convenience foods so far this year. Hoping to get a better start once these lingering colds disappear.

We hardly have any if these at the Aldi near me in MN , USA. But any vegan food i can find is double to 3 times higer in price than what you have there.

The vegan plant range and accidentally vegan range at aldi is fantastic snd great value for money, the breakfast patties are great. Id always femind people when following vegan diet to eat thd protein first followed by the veg and then your carb. If you get chance m & s have a good vegan range

You have so much more stuff! I took a trip to aldi the other day and they had about a freezer and a half full of 'plant menu' and just bits and bobs everywhere. Still picked up some good stuff though. 😅

Do you ever check the ingredients lable to see what else is in the vegan products that you are buying esides the plant based thing's like is there any e numbers etc please . I know i have to check thing's in case they have wheat in them, as im wheat intolerant, and its surprsing what you find wheat in.

The plant menu spiced kebab pieces are amazing. They did plant menu brioche buns in veganuary and they were the best brioche I’ve ever had and my partner is fussy and not vegan but he was going mad for them ❤

A lot of the brand names of Aldi UK are very different to the name they have on Aldi USA store brands. And you even have more Vegetarian, Vegan choices than we do. I wish we had many of what I saw that you guys have access to. Since my brother and I have many dietary issues because of health and parts of the issue is the result of our digestive tracts since we were kids. And because of getting sick back in 2009 as d needed surgery as a result of something that was in my food from a restaurant it did quite a bit of damage the doctors tried to fix what they could but as a result of that incident it made things worse. So I have to watch out even more so plus my brother has autism and people with the issue they have problematic digestive tracts. And so do those with down syndrome. So they need a lot more I. The fermented and pickled vegetables. To get the most nutrients out of their food. Plus fermented dairy and dairy substitutes. When it comes to yogurt and kefir.

Though I’m not vegan or vegetarian I so love your videos and ideas I have gotten .. one is to make a black bean veggie burger.. the only meat I eat is ground turkey .. I add all kinds of veggies to eat eat it everyday in many ways!! Your so inspiring 🎉🎉🎉I’m a new subscriber 😂😂

I am gradually working my way through your older videos. This one was interesting. I do have a question; you might already have answered somewhere, but I can't read all the comments, and thus far, have not heard you answer this in particular.

Why did you become vegan and did you go through a vegetarian stage first? What was your motivation to go fully vegan?

We (husband and I) tend to eat vegetarian most of the time, because being an omnivore is too costly. I know there are vegan alternatives to certain products, but again, the cost would be prohibitive on a low, fixed income, where we live (New Zealand). We grow all we can and we keep chickens (they live entirely free range, natural lives, even roosting outside in shrubs and trees, and die of old age! They've earned their retirement - one died 4 months ago, and was older than Jojo!!) I don't have any issues with having eggs as they are a natural by-product to hens and with no rooster, breeding is not the objective - hens naturally start laying at around 20 weeks, without a rooster anywhere near them. In my mind, it would be wrong to waste them. Anyhow if you can clarify, I'd really appreciate your time. I love your channel and am learning a lot through watching! Thank you! xx
