UNITY 2022 LTS - Secret Gems Inside! #unity3d

Does the material variant get called in the same draw call as it's sibling variants? Or does each new variant get a separate call?

Anyone else having issues like prefab previews not loading or loading and they're dark in shading until you move them int he prview window? Also extremely slow loading and delete functions.

You might want to hold off on Unity 2022.3.0 - it's absolutely not ready for LTS status. For example, searching for "UI<anything>" in the hierarchy search bar results in an instant crash on both Windows and Linux. Nice.

@jason I downloaded the latest 2022LTS version. Unfortunately I still see the old URP sample project in the Unity hub and can't find the new one. Where can I find this?

OK, but do we get compelling looking games (lighting, material settings) out of the box, or do we have to go hunting around setting various toggles and render pipeline settings to get a half decent looking game scene. Unreal is great at this, whilst Unity has been just plain awkward and confusing.

I hope they fixed bug with partial classes, since every beta from 2022 had this where u can't create partial classes, was very strange
