I know that video is a year ago but I just started using duck duck go and hackers are messing with it they are not allowing it to work properly they are stopping app tracking prevention from working it is not tracking all of the apps that I have turned on

I agree, a real game changer. However, you can't use the blocker and your VPN at the same time. How do you decide which to use and when?

I just got the beta invite this week. Love seeing the blocking. My question is, how do I know if the apps are doing legitimate helpful and useful things vs abusing my privacy? For example Headspace app is getting Optimizely blocked....so am I protecting myself or just blocking their AB testing which I'm happy to be a part of.

I have a few apps installed which I honestly don't trust - would be interesting to see how much they track me in the background (as I don't use those apps regularly, may be once or twice a month).
TBH, I will be more than happy to get rid of my existing phone (Android) for a PinPhone Pro with its 'limited' functionality.
Apple products are way to expensive for me (99% Indians for that matter). Also, don't like their closed eco-system & bad repair policies.

if you were interested in security and privacy before you would have done them and known about this stuff for years.
and apple is doing all of this stuff too....dont even kid yourself.
oh......and upodates......pay close attention then....youll find updates are the biggest data harvest...often just for the data harvest.
im sure you know a bit about coding.....and some of these "updates" include about 10 minutes of cut and paste work.....but they update monthly like a clock, adding basically nothing "we moved an icon" "various back end fixes"....
the data theyre allowed to harvest is different/more when youre performing an update.
this has all benn known since BEFORE magisk was invented as an alternative to root
