ОтветитьHey man, I am a fresh bootcamp graduate and have a great resume that is ATS friendly as well as being consistent on github and code wise. I am looking for internships and remote positions. But Even if my resume is good, i usually get turned down and got overruled by people who have bachelors and other degrees.
Ответитьleaving this comment here. and coming back to it when I get my first offer. I graduate in Fall 2024. Currently Fall 2023.
ОтветитьNever finished school, but I've been programming web apps in React for roughly 2 years now as a hobby. Particular writing software for my restaurant-owner friends to help their business function better. I've been thinking about trying to get a real job with it, so I'm wondering if my freelance work would be enough for my resume
ОтветитьThanks this is realy valuable specially about how we can explain our projects.
ОтветитьI have knowledge but i dont have referred
ОтветитьI just graduated with a cs degree this summer. I’m kind of in the older side compared to my peers. I have a previous coding job experience. But my coding skills atm isn’t at its best. What do I need to land a job soon?
ОтветитьHi my name is razaq I want to talk you about Software engineering
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your knowledge, appreciate the tips and guidance <3
ОтветитьSide note: what kind of camera are you using?
ОтветитьGuys don’t forget how powerful an IN-PERSON connection can be. Throwing your resume through Indeed, LinkedIN, GlassDoor, etc just likely puts your resume through a pdf scanner which compares your resume to job description. It’s impersonal and just leaves everything up to letters and numbers. Look for available positions in your area and print out your resume and get it into the right hands. You’re much more likely to gain rapport with the company and more likely to get a job.
ОтветитьOne of my biggest questions is how to connect when you don’t even know who your dad is 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьToo many smart Chinese people taking jobs
Ответитьhardest it's been for me to land a job! How do yall connect with recruiters / what do you say to them to get ur resume through the door?
ОтветитьFirst job…at google??? Wtf 😂😂
ОтветитьI have been applying since last summer and I still haven’t had any luck
Ответить1,600th like!
ОтветитьMan this was a great video. I love you stressed important things and used some out of the box thinking. I feel this is a formula for success and I’m gonna try it out. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьW
Ответитьis it really possible to get the job from university certificates only like programming and full stuck certificates
ОтветитьI feel motivated, thanks for this video 🙏🏽
ОтветитьI'm planning to join a bootcamp and I'm not sure whether I can make it
ОтветитьMust get land this year as Frontend dev.
ОтветитьWhat about dsa bro
ОтветитьI fairly recently graduated from college. However, I have forgotten or still otherwise struggle with many of Data Structures & Algorithms fundamentals. I have been reviewing those and further studying in order to prepare for interviews.
My issue is that I decided to take courses and study too many things at once, namely web development, SwiftUI, Cybersecurity and even some data science and machine learning. I need to focus on just two or three of those things for now.
Thanks for helping people who need new jobs in CS!
ОтветитьSuper helpful and engaging! Thanks for the vid. Really good reminder of what I need to be doing as I job search.
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьHow much do you have to know exactly to be qualified for a job?
ОтветитьGraduating next semester. I’m into backend engineering. I got couple of interviews with FANG but I really applied just to test my resume 😂. With that focus on a big company, should I focus on DS and Algorithms only since that’s what most of the interviews are about or should I dive deep into building projects and learning popular technologies etc?
ОтветитьIs computer science worth it after AI like Chatgpt
ОтветитьIn my experience, even if we have the best resumes, this doesn't always lead to getting an interview. The best way to land an interview is through connections and referrals.
ОтветитьThis was an encouraging video when imposter syndrome comes in a wave. I have lots of projects. Thanks for this.
Ответитьthank you for this, I regained some hope again, the job market is awful rn lol
ОтветитьI am currently in one of the the best coding bootcamp in India learning Node backend developement. The hiring situation is bad right now in India, but very few startups are hiring where last year everyone was getting a job from my bootcamp. Still hoping to make it in next 3 months.
I got one job offer 1 month ago from a very early stage video streaming startup as a sole backend developer, but didn't accept that.
Why do people keep recommending only big tech or startup jobs like mid-level established companies aren't hiring. Of course you won't get any super big fancy salaries/perks and they don't always follow the latest trends, but the work is usually stable and can pay well. FAANG and startups aren't the only companies that exist. Insurance companies, banks, utility companies, oil companies, etc. need software engineers too.
ОтветитьFor UK grads. Unless you went to Oxbridge or Imperial, it'll be very very hard but it's not impossible! Best of luck :))
ОтветитьMan I didn’t understand a word you said but there’s a boot camp front end developer for ten weeks class I’m thinking about joining its $4500 but they don’t help you get a job after you graduate they give you a certificate, they told me they will teach me html, css, and Java script… I’m disabled and i need to work from home and I heard front end developers have a lot of remote jobs…should I join this schoool or not? It’s online the school is called general assembly…please let me know asap cause I talk to the lady tomorrow. Thanks man
ОтветитьGreat video! where do you currently work? can you refer me? 😄
ОтветитьHey bro, first thank you for the video helps a lot!
I have a BS in CS and I’m struggling.. I decided to do the colt steele web dev program.. thinking of finishing it up for the project at the end while doing LC on the side.
Do you think that’s a good start?
the question is WHERE as in which company do i work for
i cant find a single companyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
i seriously need HElp
I am currently in week 4 of my CS50 class and I’m soon going to be changing my major to CS, you’re channel is so motivating man. I’ve been learning and I’m stoked to start building projects and getting a better understanding of everything.
In another year or year in a half I’ll be ready to start interviewing for internships. Maybe then the job market will be back up like it used to be. So I think I came in at the right time.
Hi, I’m 17, is it possible for me to become a software engineer through community college? Would I have do 2 years of CC then transfer to a university?
ОтветитьReally nice video. May I ask what camera you are using, looking great!
ОтветитьI didn't even complete my Computer Science degree, so why include such information at the top of my resume?
ОтветитьHey bro you inspire me a lot! I am doing Diploma in CS! I am learning Java! I hope I'll meet you someday! Love from India ❤️🙏
