You’re such a beautiful human! Thanks for sharing your story 🤗💖✨
ОтветитьI am also a loner artist. My only regret is that I didn't realise it sooner! Thanks for this video!
ОтветитьI've always been absolutely fine not seeing people for ages and thought that was odd for so long, but I'm just very comfortable by myself, so it's super reassuring to hear you say this 🥰
ОтветитьI don't understand 🤔the text under the vidéo is in french and I don't want it. To improve my english, I need it in english 😭. Happily, the video remains in english and it is so inspiring 😍!
ОтветитьLove you and this and being a happy loner ❤
ОтветитьOkay I'm back after watching the whole video, and I just want to say thank you so much for sharing your lovely work and thoughts and words, and I really appreciate you. I don't have anyone close to me who is more experienced than me but so similar as you are, and your videos feel like such warm and supportive chats that I need sometimes. I've been struggling with my mental health for a long time, and my psychiatrist is not providing me with the tests I need to figure things out, but I feel so at home with your thoughts. Thank you for showing me that I'm not alone (but also am, in a good way, haha) and for bravely sharing parts of yourself with the world. You are magical and so loved 🩷
ОтветитьI am the same. Everything you said was like you were talking about me loool. I think being alone brings you closer to more spiritual way of being. I love getting lost in my cluttered joyful art room. Loosing track of time in being productive. It’s very liberating.
ОтветитьI'm In love with being a loner.. glad I found you.❤
ОтветитьSo grateful for this video’s perfect timing, thank you Sophie!
I’m realizing after a contentious Thanksgiving holiday that I definitely need to crawl back into my cave and reevaluate who in my life truly feels safe to be myself around. Thank you for the reminder that it’s okay (and enriching!) to protect my tasty solitude 💛
Another fellow artist and loner here 💚 Thank you so much for sharing such a refreshing view on being a loner! I'm 38yrs old and to this day, I still have people (even 🧠professionals) telling me how I need to go out more, socialize more, make connections, etc. And while I do understand the joy of finding kindred souls to share interests with, it's very rare for me to find that. And the fact still remains I enjoy alone time above most things~
ОтветитьI tought this video was going to be super deep and a bit saddening but this is really beautiful and nice :] ❤
ОтветитьI am a loner too, and am perfectly happy with that life. I was glad to hear that I am not the only one!❤
ОтветитьThanks for this! I feel the same way but haven't allowed myself to fully sink into it yet. I also have ADHD and am getting tested for Level 1 Autism.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤ i love your heart and honesty. Fellow neuro spicy person here and you expressed perfectly. Peace to you. 😊❤
ОтветитьIt's so interesting that you share this now and i'm so glad I got to watch and soak up all the yummy drawings too. I've been struggling with this a lot as a late diagnosed AuDHDer, I felt pressured my whole life to fit in and have a friend group and/or a BESTIE that does everything with me. But as my chronic illness has sort of forced me into a bit more isolation, i've started to feel lonely (but upon reflecting with what you shared... perhaps it's more just my own body grief of what I can/can access physically these days, because the thought of actually doing the social things feels draining and overwhelming...) i think my "loneliness" that i've experienced has really just been a feeling of shame for being wrong or different and also unsupported as the unmasked version of myself. i knew there was a reason i've always vibed with your work 🥰✨ thank you for the creative inspiration, I've been having a hard time creatively as well so this was a much needed boost 💕
ОтветитьI love my solitude, I relish in my time alone! The only time I feel loneliness is when I am in a crowd.
ОтветитьAw I really love the way you filmed everything and showed the sketches along the way 🥰 beautiful .. and the two birds in the tree is a fave 🥰 .. you've made me think about some changes and decisions I've been making the last year or two .. and I can relate to a lot of this! ❤
ОтветитьYou are such a light, Sophie. This is reassuring and so encouraging to hear. I love your vision and your energy. Thanks for sharing this part of yourself! ❤
ОтветитьOh the loner life 😍 I am blessed with a lovely partner and 3 teenage humans (plus 2 dogs!) but they give me my space when I need it, which is pretty much daily! I have my little art attic and I take a yearly trip to Europe alone. I call it balance. 😊 So happy to have found your channel! ❤❤❤
ОтветитьAnd this is how I know I’ve found my people on these videos. I love being alone, I don’t get it often because kids (but they respect when I need my time), some of my best art happens when I’m 100% by myself ❤
Ответить❤ you are so lovely. I identify with this a lot.
ОтветитьOh qué lindo!!! Pude escucharlo en español genial genial!!! Gracias Shopie!!!
ОтветитьI only find myself feeling lonely within the context of a relationship…. Whether it’s romantic, family, or friendship, it’s only when I feel unseen or that the needs I’ve been conditioned to expect is go unmet do I feel sad about solitude. I generally enjoy my own company.
ОтветитьAmen sister!!! I love being alone! It helps me absorb and focus on the world around me!!! I love being out in nature where there are no man made sounds, it allows me to relax and enjoy the silence and nature. Sophie you’re such a super wonderful person. Thanks for being so open!❤️
ОтветитьYes yes yes. Everything about this, yes! Thank you for the loner pep talk and the inspiring art. I almost felt like I had gone on a lonesome meandering walk myself, I felt so calm after your video 🐴🌿🐞🌸🌳
ОтветитьDear Sophie,
I love the way you capture all these scenes. What do you use? Looks like felt tip pens.
I'm also a loner. Not lonely at all. It's the only time I really can hear my own thoughts and feel that I exist. Protecting my alone time is vital to my sanity.
I love seeing your colorful sketches vs. The real world. Love your color palette! Yes I can relate on the solitude. I love it as well.
ОтветитьSophie, this is such a wonderful video, it hit right home ♥
It took certainly some time to realise, what I need and where my bounderies are. But now my little world feels so much more at peace. Unfortunately some humans don't understand that and you have to part ways, but you end up with the once that understand and don't judge you.
Thank you for that video!
I really liked how you showed a particular scene and then the painting of that scene. Quite a lesson on how to simplify a scene and also how to add rich colour in one’s painting.
ОтветитьYes, I love being a loner, too. However, I think I love it because, in the adjacent room, is my husband of 30+ years who balances and compliments my lifestyle. I think I would be lonely if I did not have him.
The problem with my alone time is, I waste it. It is hard for me to drag myself to my art table. I find myself on social media a lot. The subjects I look at are serious in nature. However, I must work at being productive, and apply what I glean from the tube into my artwork.
Que delícia de vídeo!
Obrigada por traduzir.❤
Being alone is the best ❤ Love this video. And the great thing is that time alone allows for more time for art!
ОтветитьFeeling these images & words hit all the cozy places 🙏🏻✨ thank you sparkle sis
ОтветитьAaah you filmed and described what the perfect day is to me. I love the leaves 🍂 you found and I wish I could hug your dogs ❤ Their faces are so cute ☺️ Thanks for the share! I look forward to your Patreon post card 🎉
ОтветитьBeing alone and unmasking is one of my favorite things to do! I'm still learning the balance between being with my friends out in the world and celebrating my alone time--so this was a lovely little video to come across. Thanks for sharing, Sophie! Loners Unite! 🏵
ОтветитьLoved your art that you’ve painted of the scenery. I never feel lonely, I’m rarely alone but when I am I cherish it. I do watercolour art and nature journaling. Thanks for this beautiful vlog. X
Ответитьart def helps me focus and it wasnt until the recent ADHD diagnoses that I realized I draw so much because it helps with focus a lot. i was always aloner as a kid with a book or something to draw, never bothered me a bit 😀
Ответитьlove it
ОтветитьI love it. I'm a total hermit, myself.
My friend refers to us as "blessed with the neuro-zest" 😂 while it doesn't always feel that way, he definitely does have a point!
I absolutely resonate with you Sophie. I'm a fellow neurodivergent person who needs time alone to rest and recharge - time alone for me is absolutely essential.
ОтветитьYour drawingsare candy for my eyes!
ОтветитьI feel exactly the same way. Love being alone to do that deep work. I had friends that would make me feel guilty and boyfriends that would make me feel boring if I didn’t go out to clubs and parties, so I just drank a lot and did my best to appear like a social butterfly. So much time wasted when I could have been building my art skills tbh.
ОтветитьSoopphhiieee. I knew there was a reason I liked you not only for your pretty artwork. 😂 I was recently (like 6 weeks ago) diagnosed with ADHD in my adulthood. It has been so freeing to understand that my brain is different. I also like being alone but sometimes the loneliness kicks in but I believe that’s mainly due to some societal pressures. I’m learning to undo the things to make my alone time better again. The way you spoke about everything feels like how I would say it. And I’m so glad you have friends that get you. That’s such a huge gift. 😊 I know I’ll find my people one day.
ОтветитьThese are adorable Sophie! Thank you for sharing. As a fellow neaurospicey person who has just hit my 30's Ive been doing a lot of soul searching . I've always enjoyed my own company but feel like i'm constantly running on empty and my friendships are getting more and more shallow as they have grown in size especially as I have moved a lot throughout my life. I've lost th joy n my life and including for drawing/ painting. Thank you for giving your great advice and for inspiring me to improve myself and my art
ОтветитьI don't think I have a safe space to be alone and not overwhelmed at the moment, I am also looking into getting neurodiversity assessment. But I feel like social pressure wise and financially not able to create that space right now. Wanted to leave a message for those who struggling in same way, and needing masking to survive. All the love and hugs.
ОтветитьHi Sophie! How do you manage to have relationships that feel meaningful while still spending the majority of your time alone? I think that I would benefit from more alone time and independence but I feel very sad and alone when I am not interacting with people regularly, and get stuck because there are only so many hours in the day! Time seems to fly before I have gotten the chance to spend time alone let alone with friends. Thanks for the cozy video. I aspire to create a safe place for myself and take a deep dive into my creative self like you have.
ОтветитьHey Sophie, I loved this video! My husband and I are loners. I’m wondering how you might protect your alone time at work in an office environment? Do you have experience with this? for me too, time with other people flows much better when we are all doing things, but come lunch time, or water cooler chit chats, or work socials I too freak out. Thank you! And thanks for this video!
ОтветитьLove this video, i hear and understand all you articulated so well. Alone time is necessary for my own health. Alone is to be unfettered by others and free to explore my own head. All is right with the world after some alone healing time. Xx
Ответитьthis feels like a hug ❤ loners united!!! love from a fellow one
