Man, I just watched Pacific Rim Uprising and I was trying to place the main character for so long, all I can say is I knew they were someone related to Star Wars.

I saw Tomb Raider a few days after my own father died - I'd already booked the tickets, and I badly wanted the distraction. It wasn't much of a distraction, but watching Lara get to not believe her father was dead, find out where he might be, jet off to go find him, and get the goodbye the rest of the world had tried to deny her - well, it's been a few years now, but I still like the thought of doing those things - the film will always be special to me.

So it’s crazy but I watched these two movies on the way home from Japan in 2019 and they just happen to pair them up.

I actually loved the Tom raider movie.

When I saw pacific rim uprising in theatres, I thoroughly enjoyed it, why you ask? A. I was a teenager who knew nothing about the bad parts of movies, and B. I never cared about the plot to begin with, I only wanted to watch robots fight monsters.
