Aggressive lamp attempts to kill groomer

I’m confused at the start you say she is heavily sedated but then in the middle you say she’s not because she old and it’s a risk. Can you explain?

Her impaired eyesight probably exacerbates the kneejerk behavior.

She also seems to have cataracts, so maybe her partial blindness makes her more apprehensive and untrusting of things (and people) "suddenly" coming into what limited vision she may have.

Wow!!! You did amazing! Great job! I am sure you were her last hope. She looks great. There needs to be some kind of little dog muzzle that isnt as big around the face for grooming. Or maybe just covering their eyes would help while you do the lower portion.

She says the dog NORMALLY GET GROOMED UNDER ANESTHESIA, but is presently heavily sedated.

I'd learn to groom on my own, anesthesia is expensive

I enjoy watching this because i struggle to do my work (office work) my struggle is mental and emotional. I think i feel better knowing that almost everyone struggles.

I just want to make sure you know how wonderful you are. I wish there was a groomer like you where I am. I can't find a groomer willing to work with me. The going rate is 50$. Just for comparison it costs me 20$ (with tip) for a haircut and I'm pretty fussy. It's not that I mind paying the 50$ for grooming, but for that price they should be very willing to work with me!

I kind of love her for being so spicy even when medicated. She must be one tough old gal! I wouldnt wanna mess with her when shes sober. Her owner must feel well protected with her around.

Oh dear. This level of aggression is in my dog's future I fear. She is a Maltese and Shi Tzu cross too, and she had a frightening time at the vet after heart failure and has been very hard to groom ever since.

Would it be worthwhile investing in those gloves that you see people wearing to train police dogs to attack, for you to wear when dealing with more aggressive clients in order to give yourself a little bit of protection? Or would that just be cumbersome and impede your ability to groom the dog as well as you would without? In any case, love these videos of you giving them a chance despite their aggression; all dogs deserve care and love <3

I had a Maltese that was picked up by a 150lb Malamute and slung around like a rag doll. My baby was never the same after that. He looked just like this baby. I thought honestly we were going to lose him but he lived to be 16.

The smaller the dogs, the more agressive they are.

Y would people say foolish things ?like dog want to kill the groomer ? Such a very ignored stament to say ..
