T dr PH Martins is original use by designers and cartoonists to correct ink work and is intended to be used with a brush diluted to a suitable con sistancy. I hasve used it for many years for my illustration and cartoon work. It is bleed proof so you can work over it again once it is dried. Finally, you have to ensure it is dried well , before working over it again.
ОтветитьDanke, das war sehr hilfreich ❤
Ответитьaren't all of these technically paints? I didn't know it was possible to get white ink.
ОтветитьUniball signo and gelly roll dry out. I store the with caps and they dry out. I'm so tired of buying then using them for a month and they dry out can't get them flowing again. Wish one of these companies would develop a good opaque formula. Uggh
Ответитьdarwin is crap.
ОтветитьThank you for this.... doing a set of watercolour pictures (waves from above) and was having a nightmare with inks. This video was just what I needed. :-)
ОтветитьThe pH Martin is not really an ink. It is an opaque watercolor more like gouache
ОтветитьKuretake ZIG Cartoonist White Ink 30? Also recommends diluting with water for right consistency.
Ответитьwhy my g, maru and saji pen not works with white ink? I have white maxon comic ink and winsor e newton white ink and I can't draw white line on black (black kaimei ink 360ml)
ОтветитьTry Fabre castle white ink marker it’s great
ОтветитьGreat job. That was a good review. I'm getting the Uni-ball Signo.
ОтветитьSo pleased you made those comments about the paint pens. I always have these spillage issues but have thought it was just me using them in some incorrect way. Great video. Really helpful.
ОтветитьPentel Presto correction pen and Molotow paint pen
ОтветитьI prefer Zig Kuratakes white ink. Water based. I use it to paint clouds. Water it down some and build up.
Ответитьwhat about kuretake white ink 30, kuretake zig white brush pen and copic white ink
ОтветитьAbsolutely invaluable. Personally, I've had trouble with FW in the last several years, finding the ink less opaque for correcting black and white comics pages than I'd prefer. I actually find the PH Martins very useful for deleting large blotches of spilled ink, but not ideal for fine lines. Thanks for this!
ОтветитьThanks for the video! I always look for the best way to avoid the white paint mixing with watercolour and your tests have helped a lot
ОтветитьI recommend molotown acrylic marker. I love the maner that function.
ОтветитьThey say Arteza white gel pen is the way to go. Is good on color pencil, water colors, markers, oils and pastels.
ОтветитьThis was super helpful ! Thanks so much 🙃
ОтветитьThe micro was very disappointing.
ОтветитьThank you! You just saved me so much time and money trying to figure out which one is best.
ОтветитьSolid review. Just what I needed 👌
ОтветитьIt is not too helpful when you only treat premium white out as opposed to the most available.
Ответитьthank you, this was very helpful
Ответитьwow.. thanks for the good review. very helful
ОтветитьMy Signo pen dried up really fast. It wasn't worth mail ordering.
ОтветитьThanks for this review it helped me allot. I wanna get back at inking and i wanna participate to inktober and i go whit the dr Martins bleed proof white inkt.
ОтветитьUniball Signos are a huge disappointment. Always the tip will dry up, clog up long before they are out of ink. I live in an extremely dry climate and feel it must be that as so many others rave about them. I have spent so much on new ones to no avail. I use the extra fine tip Sharpie water based paint pen and it give far better coverage than your test version. It has never been messy for me, but the extra fine tip ones are not easy to find.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьThis video has been so helpful!! I’m trying to trace over my light graphite sketch lines with an opaque white, and I’m not having success. I bought a pack of the Sakura jelly rolls, and they’re crap at hiding the graphite. I’m going to try one of the pot links that you demoed. Thank you so much!! 👋😎❤️
ОтветитьYou missed rotring white ink
ОтветитьCan any of the white inks be used in a fountain pen, or are they too prone to clog? Also, do you have a technique for reviving the flow on the pens you prefered?
Ответитьso nice ❤️😍
ОтветитьDr. P H Martin has two white ink/paints: This Bleedproof, and Pen White. Pen White is the more dilute one that will compete well with other products in this test (though you may still find yourself regularly adding a bit of water). Bleedproof is like a concentrate, which is thick enough to use as a correction fluid or Whiteout. But you can certainly use Bleedproof as an ink-with-dip-pen or paint-with-brush (e.g. for linework or adding highlights), if you dilute it first.
ОтветитьCan any of these inks be used in a fountain pen?
ОтветитьI use the Dr Ph Martin on my watercolors. I haven't tested the other potted inks yet. I use the Uni-Ball signo pen too. Great pen! Love this video! Just subscribed. 🙂
ОтветитьGreat video. Probably the most important thing to keep in mind is what the ink is made of will have a huge effect on what's already on paper. If you use water-based ink on top of watercolor, it will pick up the watercolor and mess up your artwork. So always make sure you check the chemical composition of what you're getting. Also anything thats solvent based, like alcohol inks might screw up an acrylic illustration. Check the labels and always test it out on a scrap piece of paper before you commit 👍
Ответитьthanks for the info!
ОтветитьI wonder if you use a special nib? I tried the golden air brush
Ink, and it didn't flow very well
Doc martins white is best split between 2 jars and watered down by a quarter and really stirred thoroughly before every use…its great with watercolour or any oens except dont put it in a parallel oen but can dip an emoty oarallel pen. In it
ОтветитьI'm surprised you didn't choose the W&N Drawing Ink. It worked well on toned paper and over watercolor, had great opacity, and only had slight issues with bleeding. I think I was with you up to the very end. I loved the video, though. It was well done!
ОтветитьDr Martens and Amsterdam are supposed to be diluted before use, that's why you couldn't dip and go!
I was looking for something better than Liquitex acrylic white for a dipping pen (more opaque for drawing on black paper) but according to your test it doesn't look like there is one...
Excellent! Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you thank you thank you. You have saved us folks a stack of time and cash plus frustration and self esteem destroying bad products that are being sold at the moment with no return policies. All the best. I have subscribed !
Ответить"EVERY' white ink... lol.. missed kuretake.. the best one!
ОтветитьI don't know why but I don't like using disposable pens. They only hold 2ml of ink at best and they're constantly running out so you have to buy loads. I only use black and white pen for art. For colour, I use acrylic paint (or ink) but I'll apply it with a fine brush, not a pen.
For black I use black acrylic ink in a dipping pen or permanent (lightfast) black in a fountain pen or else I use a brushpen loaded with Indian ink. For white, I use a dipping pen. I've tried paint markers but those are only good with a broad tip, otherwise they gunk up.
This pen's ink gel or ballpoint ink ?
ОтветитьI'm a new person to graphite drawing and I bought some pencil sets that have a Highlight Pen that says chatum 0.8mm.... when I first removed the cap...a little white ink came out. But that's all??? I have no idea if they come loaded or if I have to fill them myself?? It might be a lame question but..... it is what it is.... anybody???
