Scammers do not usually extort money but they deceive their victims into believing and trusting them more. They often use sympathy and empathy to get their victims. Victims are made to believe that they are chatting with one person. In reality, they are actually chatting with a group them, usually men, that pretend to be that handsome guy or beautiful woman. The scammers modus operandi is predictable. They often pretend to be successful persons but later with sad stories that require their victims to send money to them. The victims are usually blinded with a handsome guy or beautiful woman, and greed too. They hope that their online lovers can give them money, give them lavish presents or bring them to tour the world. Partly, they are to be blamed too. I would say, instead of they get their money, the scammers get their money. Just use the brain, how can rich people asking you money to help them? That is a red flag. Furthermore, if you know that you are old or not beautiful (or handsome) but this supposedly 'rich' person keeps telling you that you are, do not trust. A rich person will definitely go after models or young 'chicks', NOT you.

It's really gross the way some people have no shame and just scam others especially people who are vulnerable whether it's elderly, mentally ill or just lonely. We live in an age where many relationships are online and unfortunately there are alot of drawbacks to that. People need to pay attention to red flags as soon as something feels off don't continue on.

Lol been talking to a "girl" from UK London on twitter and I don't know lol. Think the profile is fake. She brings up the crypto thing. I also do crytpo but she says she can teach me some stuff. She seems normal enough but i think shes is a cunning scammer. But we had good conversations. I avoid sending personal info. Sad what this world has come to.

From experience of being on Johnny Depp discord server I can tell you categorically that he does not talk to his fans so if there is a Johnny Depp talking to someone it’s a fake. It also comes from experience of being scammed by a fake Johnny Depp on another social media platform. It’s weird because I wouldn’t normally have fallen for it as I’m normally the one telling my Nan when an email is fake and from a scammer.

This just happened to me. This guy took his time, it was over 2 months. He was so good. I refused to trust him from the beginning but he did a good job breaking down those walls and I finally caved and started to like him. Finally today he asked for my cashapp to "send me some money" 🙄 I was sus and didn't want to. But when I tell you he was good, he was good. He said all the right things. Then the scam email hit. I was expecting it, but it still hurt and I hate that I miss talking to him.

This is happening to me right now and thank to you for your video. I'm gonna try to invest but because of this video I should not. And also she use whatapps and keep talking about crypto and other things that I don't want and also she start gas lighting me.

I've been involved in this recently too. In my experience, one asked me to invest, talking about how it's what everyone is doing now but I think there's another scarier one.

My second scammer tried to help me to do 'orders' for her and saying that I should help her because she's on her period and is facing difficulties. When I refused because it's weird how someone that has only known you a few days would ask you for help regarding financial stuff, she started saying insulting remarks like 'now I see you for who you are', or 'so we can decide when to meet up, but you can't help me with this one thing in my time of need'.

These scammers will try to first build rapport with you for a few days, when it fails at the end will just go full out to guilt trip and insult you and make YOU feel like you're doing something wrong for not helping them. No you're not wrong THEY'RE wrong. If you spot this pattern IMMEDIATELY block and report. Don't let the doubt in your heart keep you hooked onto them.

My scammer video chatted with me. It was not blurred but he eould only video chat me when he needed money. It was not romance scam it was a investment scam

It just happen to me but luckily I was able to recognize the signs early and call them out. It was only 2 days!

Hi. They video-call you now. Scammer lady did this in a second day that we started messaging. It was rally her, the same person as on the pictures. So if someone is video-calling you IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT IS NOT A SCAM. Luckly for me I know about crypto and would never fall for her scammy website.

I was scammed by one petroleum geologist since September 2023 for 3 months I believed him however it didn't take me much to sense the red flags, oh yes when we started talking about future plans he suddenly couldn't find his vouchers to top up his data Internet so he needed me to buy vouchers for him which I blindingly did it. In only 2 days I bought vouchers worth 1150 euro..... 😭😂. I than paid 1500 euro to an intestigator company which not even today got to give me the written report. One thing is sure I lost 2650 euro all together.
I thank God for keeping my mental health after this horrible experience.

The scammer name is KEVIN PARKER OSBORNE, born in France and lived all this life in Heuston Texas.
And his accent or written vocabulary sounded 100% nigerian 😂

Male scammers use the same techniques to extort money from women.

Catfishing uses romantic yearnings and or sexual hunger to get money through investing in crypto. A brother, father, uncle, insert name, is making a fortune for them and will do the same for the victim. Very often the "girl" is a man or a group of men. They use a female accomplice or AI voice changer for the phone calls.

This is so crazy I get people saying they found my number in my phone lol nobody just find someone’s number and then starts talking to them but I played it along for a good hour and Boy text after text

But what if they give you money to invest they can't be a scammer then because scammer would not give you money

Bottom line is ‘You never meet her, physically and don’t know who you talking to’, at all.

The moment the guy I was chatting with started discussing crypto, i blocked him. Trust your gut, the moment you feel that something is wrong, block the person.

Its not just the guys who scam there are a lot of women snakes out there too. I met someone and everything clicked...looked good. After time, things started to get 'fishy' so I paid for a background check on her. OMG. Holy shit. Game over. In the past 10 years she lived in 15 different places and was connected with many other guys running a prymiad scheme. Run, Forrest, run...

I got 2 texts message from a social media app and they both have similar style approach. One is a mistake text and ask to be keep friend and the other talks like she know me through friends. And yes, the converstation start with your career than follow later do you have a family. Once they know you're single, they will attempt to keep you on the text or call to later that night making sure you're actually single and without any interference so it doesn't waste their time. They will even greet you in the next morning too "DAMN" they are good. Making you feel you're being loves and this is where your emotion start to sink in. But guys... ask yourself this question, what girl looks average to above will have or spend the time to even talks to you in the first place. If she isn't catching your eyes you wouldn't respond in the first place, and if she catches your eyes do you think you're next in line? LOL

Catfish is just the method to get you hooked. The love talker. Then, they use a different one for closing. They have abusive ones for the ones that are reluctant. It is a network. If you look on their profiles, some of their pictures are photoshopped with Catfish/koi on their faces. Some say "WOW," like on the English lady's cups. And some say " I miss you so much!" or "I love you so much."
