Im now buying dehydrated soup and rice mixes in pouches. At a local discount store. 99 cents. Some have meats also. Just add water. My newest thing to look for. I absolutely love soups and can add canned meats, more pasta. Beans.
We're on a limited budget and I buy different things every month. 😊

I think some of the prepper channels pushing extremely expensive gear that is out of reach of a lot of people makes people think prepping is only for wealthy people. Good to get tips on things that don't always cost you the earth.

Once these are done, mention adding flashlights, lanterns, batteries, AM/FM radio, a power source for phones, etc.

Cooking Spaghetti & Rice require a lot of water. A days worth of drinking water just to cook. Any ideas for reusing cooking water?

Water Bricks are awesome. I've been stocking up on the square stackable bottles they sell at Walmart for $14. I've got 4 so far, and will probably go to about 6. They store well in the corner of my garage.

I have emergency stuff in each vehicle. Dried mre 6 - 6 water bottles. Rand McNally large print map of the US can get at Walmart. First aid kit. Mylar foldable blankets. Like a space blanket for everyone. Flashlight. All fits under drivers seat. Total cost under 100$
