ОтветитьHis personal password doesn't seem very secure.
ОтветитьThis is amazing
ОтветитьApologies if anyone has already been able to do this and has posted before me. For anyone interested the data transmission at the end is the following: 1st screen: "THAMES TELEVISION DATABASE COMPETITION Send solutions on a postcard only to: Database THAMES TV 149 TOTTENHAM COURT ROAD LONDON W1P 9LL PRESS SPACE BAR TO CONTINUE". 2nd screen: "DATABASE COMPETITION". In the form of a simple crossword. Here are the clues: 1 Across. Arresting pop group 6 letters. 2 Down. _ to me only 5 letters. 3 Across. Four star transport 6 letters. 4 Down Underwater computer language? 5 letters"
That all it is. I just connected my original BBC micro computers cassette input to my MacBook Pro earphone socket and typed "*TAPE" & then "LOAD "" " the filename is THAMES and it's a small BASIC program just needed to be run. Worked first time. Amazing!
Old boy has it in for Jane.

ОтветитьShows you how slowly the tech was developed initially. My Dad worked for IBM but we didn’t have a family PC until about 1989-90 and didn’t have internet until 1995.
ОтветитьI can't wait for this to come out.

Ответить“Extremely simple” — now that’s fucking funny
ОтветитьFunny how they call all that "very simple"... 🤣😂🤣
Ответитьremember playing online games in the late 90's getting upgraded to a 28.8 Modem from a 14.4 was super fast! but as the internet grew websites always put more bandwidth hungry things on it, even today they do the same thing some websites have too much adverts on them and they can crash your pc
Ответитьthe most advanced ahead of its time thing I saw was that her doctor took a prescription refill over the network and then replied to her that it had been called in and at what time. For 1984, that is actually science-fiction insane stuff.
ОтветитьThis will never take off 😐
ОтветитьJust think.. out there someone was hollering at their tvs "this is devil magic! Ill take no part in the future!" 😂 my uncle was like that. He wouldnt even sit in the same room with a computer.
ОтветитьI had no idea! though Al Gore invented this shit lol

ОтветитьThe downfall of humanity was the internet.
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful outro theme 🥹
Ответить"so it's a very simple connection to make?"
"extremely simple"
proceeds to use a rotary phone to call a number, enters a password, waits for the entire screen to load pixel line by pixel
