Fun Facts: Since AEW and NXT went head to head 4 weeks ago, AEW TV rating dropped from 1,409,000 to 963,000; while NXT TV rating dropped from 891,000 to 698,000. In other words, AEW TV rating has dropped 32% since 4 weeks ago compares to NXT TV rating which dropped 22% over the same period of time. Consider NXT is basically an experiment for WWE some loyal fans still watching NXT through the WWE net work on demand 24 hours after the show airs on USA, and AEW being a brand new promotion and is suppose to attract a good part of curious viewers, the amount of drop on it TV rating in such a short time is much worrying for AEW than NXT.

Aew needs to cut down on the flips and high risk stuff. Last nights episode felt like i was watching an acrobat performance more than wrestling.

Bullshit, AEW won that. NXT still feels like developmental, a D league. AEW feels like it’s own thing and NXT only broadcasting from Full Sale makes it unfair, because AEW’s production is amazing, but you won’t count it.

I just can't see either show being successful in the longterm for the network due to these ratings. The decline is not a good sign.

This all opinion and it's not a war Aew has there market and wwe has there own there alternatives to each other.

Seriously stop comparing AEW & NXT. AEW is a main promotion , NXT is a developmental brand with 3rd in line focus behind SmackDown and RAW. If you want to compare AEW to WWE then compare it to SmackDown or RAW.


The only thing Ill come close to comparing the 2 is something they both have in common. Both AEW and NXT seem to think that what makes good matches is to have 15 to 20 min matches with like 30 near falls where everyone kicks out at the 2 and half count. Its just dumb to see this happen. Every match shouldnt be that long and you shouldnt have lower teir talent kicking out of upper tier talents finishers just to make them look good.


Its like they are trying to put everyone over at the same time and to me thats just boring. A match shouldnt go so long that the fans watching start thinking in their head "this match needs to end" "whens it going to end" or "let me just turn the channel and check back in a few minutes" because we are now 15 min in on near fall #20 and routines are starting to repeat and the wrestlers literally get this look on their face like they are not sure what to do next because they ran out of stuff to do but know they still need to fill another 5 min or more.

AEW was weak this week, NXT was awesome

How does AEW has better starpower since NXT's superstar's put on better matches?

Why did AEW win at establishing superstars? NXT just rebuilt Balor from the bottom in one show after the main roster destroyed him.

Balor and The Undisputed Era are far more entartaining than all of AEW, and Balor proved that in one show. Ciampa is the greatest neutral superstar ever and Gargano is one awesome babyface. Idk how does AEW even win the starpower point.

NXT was the better show this week. AEW started hot the first two matches but went flat with Omega's match and his goofy looking face and pointing and 50 jumping knees. Cody Rhodes trying to be tough in the bank manager outfit is laughable, then the 2 disgruntled Ex-WWE guys had a basic RAW WWE style match in the main event. I thought Dynamite was a C+ show.

You guys are terrible. There is no competition. AEW sucks. There show looks non professional. Amateurs can do better.

If you count "star power" as a scoring perk, aew is going to win that weekly....nxt isn't going to have anyone like chris jericho, moxley, or rhodes for quite a while, if ever.

I knew you was gonna do that lol give NXT the win over AEW lol. NXT do more story telling then wrestling AEW gets straight to the point. Tag team was way better then that 6 man shit that happens on SmackDown and Raw every Monday and Friday, AEW should have won again. Fin turning heel all man but wasn't he a heel beating up John Cena with the OC lol

what a hack breakdown. aew had 5 pretty good or better matches, an awesome jericho/cody promo and fight. nxt had balor turn heel. been watching wrestling since 1989 and aew is better all around and it's not really close.

Problem with AEW they don't have any real mega stars. Basically only true star they have is Jericho which let's face it his best days are in the past. There's no Rock or Austin level wrestler in they're roster.. Why they can't really beat WWE.

Sorry to me is 4-0. NXT can’t compete with AEW. WWE doing the same thing bringing by mixing there talent to NXT for ratings. They can’t save smackdown. AEW can go head to head with any show from WWE anytime.

Disagree this week!! AEW won again....NXT just can't hang & it's to watered down. Only GOOD thing NXT did this week was make Finn Balor Heel.....other than that, not impressed
