Why can't anyone in philosophy describe anything they study in a way that anyone could understand? Does it not occur to you that if I don't know what metaphysics means, I also don't understand what any of your descriptors mean? 'First causes"? Really? When did defintions become an absolute and controlled thing?
I was sure in phylosophy nothing was abosute. Everything is subject to change because of time and many other things. Variables are discovered.
IDK when variables get discovered if they really are worthy of agruing about. I am still willing to find out.
I do think there is a willing and perticipating part of the world looking at what we are saying here to figure out what the next move will be for them to continue being lazy and blah blah blah

In trying to understand metaphysics, does it have to do with how things of the mind affect the physical body?
For example, we know that gravity affects our physical body, the density of our bones, and our muscles, etc.
If there was a way to fool our brains into thinking there is gravity when in the absents of gravity, would that protect astronauts from the negative effects of long-duration zero-gravity missions?
Or is the word for what I'm describing something else. If so, what is the word I'm looking for?

So basically metaphysics from the world meta after beyond
Meaning it seeks an answer or cultivate question about something beyond the physical concept for instance physical concept (Law of physics ) metaphysics despite law of physics , law of nature it questions (What's make them exists? How they work ? What makes them work , What is the real reality . It's like the physical concept were the boundary understanding what is definite real and metaphysics interpret beyond than that

My own Metaphysics covers at least only few of 4 Pillars from them

3. "Immediate Actions"
4. "Findings"

Metaphysics is the book Aristotle wrote after he wrote Physics. The real title is TLDR, so people say "Metaphysics" for short.

I feel you did a major disservice with this video by failing to mention that metaphysics is widely regarded as complete waste of time. Many prominent philosophers have argued against it, and most of its own practitioners admit that it has no standards, no definitions, and no methodology. It’s basically a sham field that pretends to study important things, when really it just babbles nonsense and solves nothing.

On a related note, I’ve read at least a half dozen or so textbooks on metaphysics, and not a single one endorses the definition you provide in this video. That’s not really a dig against you, but the field itself. Most of them all mutually contradict each other.

Given you ger practically everything incorrect as it pertains to arguments in philosophy of religion (I saw some of your videos on Aquinas and others), I was surprised that this was a very good explanation, especially in that short of time.
