I loved that song! I always wondered why I didn’t hear more songs later on from them. They were very talented.

The guys drafted into the Army had to use similar wigs when they went out to bars to listen to bands, because of the Army’s ridiculous short hair policy ,they stood out and became a target of the young liberal fascist college punks who hated anybody in uniform. Just like B.L.M.👩🏾‍🎤🥊

Can someone please tell me, . . . I swear that there are three male and three female singers in this video. But there was only one female child among the Cowsills. So, are two of the "girls" in this video actually boys? Or, were two girls added who weren't actually Cowsills?

As a bald guy, I approve of this song.

I was 12 years old when this song came out in 1969. I remember my parents were still making me get crewcuts back then and I HATED it. This song became my personal anthem. These guys were from my home state of RI and I grew up a couple of towns over from them. I remember being proud we actually had celebrities from RI back in the 60's.

Weirdly enough, this version of the song, which was supposed to be this squeaky clean family act The Cowsills PARODYING the hippy flower-power anthem, was made for this goofy TV variety special, produced by Carl Reiner of all people... It went over so well MGM released it as a single, and it quickly shot to number #1; and became a legit theme song for the Baby Boomers. The satirical aspect of it was soon forgotten ...

As someone who didn’t fully appreciate hair’s magnificence until I grew mine long 10 years ago. I appreciate this fantastic and fun song that much more now. Still learning and loving more about hair wonderful hair as time passes

When you can take the agile and willing talent of a vocal group and use it for a stupendously freaky beautiful song. Wish they’d done an album more like this.

I like the opening. Their mother disapproved of the song and therefore wouldn't sing on it. This song was just the kids.

Saw them tonight at the Minnesota State Fair. What an honor to see them live. They still got it. Pitch perfect. I had tears in my eyes.

Too bad the dad destroyed the group and the parents spent all the money instead of putting it in a trust as the kids were led to believe.

When I first heard this song I had lots of long beautiful hair... fast forward and now Being bald sucks sometimes.

All of us true hippies in 1970s thought the Cowsills were a corny Corporate act like the Monkeys or some other Hollywood production act. But they were really talented, I love this anyway, this is great!
