Dogs go for your legs first if they go any higher it's because there owner has trained them to kill people none of this BS will help you against a dog that has been trained to kill so useless lol OMG 😱😳!!

Never thought the martial arts moves I learned could be used against dogs. I hike all the time and come across dogs frequently - some semi-aggressive but never a dog attack thankfully. Thank you for the great tips to feel more comfortable when dealing with a dog like that.

Such great useful info! I was attacked by large alpha chimp in India-it attacked from behind & jumped on my back - no time for defense. Do dogs attack from behind?

Funny how there are no "how to defend against a kitten attack". It's bizarre that we let everyone and anyone have these dangerous, territorial, animals that were domesticated for hunting. Most people have no idea the incredible responsibility it is to own these stupid animals.

If you are attacked by a malinois, and many times a German shepherd, if they are attack trained, you will NOT be able to out climb them. Their running/jumping abilities far outclass ANY human trying to climb up trees, onto cars etc UNLESS you have a really good head start and are particularly nimble at jumping and climbing. Be prepared to defend yourself possibly from lethal attack from these species.

The vault is very good, but I think too many people will not have the strength to hoist themselves into that elbow lock, let alone bring their leg up. Your audience has to be broader. Think of 70-year-olds or the obese.

Next time in the night,I was coming home from work very late so no one was on the streets so I forgot about the dogs because I was so tired, when I saw them a good distance away, I turn away without thought even though being tied and the other road was longer,I believe I saved my life that night.

Thanks to you and you well behaved assistants. Watching this a few days after a bully xl viciously attacked a 9yo girl and the men who came to defend her at a gas station in UK Sept 2023.
As I'm twice your age (and a bit wider around the middle) I would hope A and B work for me.

Very helpful! Thank you. I just watched a video in which a woman (dog trainer) was saying if you get attacked, stand still like a tree or lay on the ground and play dead. 🙄I didn't find that very helpful lol. This information, on the other hand, sounds very sensible, explains dog psychology, and seems practical in dealing with a dog attack.

I don't think this would work against an aggressive American XL Bully fighting dog savaging you.
In the UK, we don't have firearms, and carrying a knife is illegal.

Thank you very much for this video. I had never learned this before, but I somehow did exactly what you have shown here with my own logic when 2 dogs of the neighbor came running after my stray cats. I chased them using my own technique similar to yours. Now you have confirmed what I did was correct. I feed stray cats every night. People dumped them on my friend's land. The neighbor releases his 2 dogs to kill them. I always bring 2 broom sticks with me at all time to defend myself and protect the kittens. I am a small woman and barely stand 5" tall. I talked to them confidently holding my stick in front of me "go back to your land.." They sniffed at me and walked back home. I was lucky that they were not aggressive to me. His owner taught them how to hunt for cats and kill cats. I am trying to learn how to defend myself from him in case he gets crazy and attack me. He used to be in the Navy for UK. I assume he knows how to defend himself as well.

So, at 73 years of age and I get attacked, I should leap over a staircase, do a frontal karate kick, or beat it with a 5ft stick I always carry about. Yeh, sound advice.

when I was about 13 or 14, I was out with my buddies shoveling snow with my buddies for extra money.I was attacked by a retired police dog, I had my brother's hand me down winter coat on, that was way to big for me and was not able to get on top of a car car where my friends were to get away. It was a good thing I was already trained in boxing because it was what saved me. Every time the dog lunged at me for my throat, I would side step and hit it with a left hook. My friends still talk about it today, man was that scarey.
