I love our World War 2 Vets and Korean Vets but we never give enough love to our Vietnam Vets on an average day they have seen more combat than other war vets but they never get any love.
ОтветитьThe world war 2 veteran really played down his experience , there were brutal battles on all fronts
ОтветитьPeople have to better appreciate our elders, and appreciate our veterans of all wars.
ОтветитьJesus he’s still all there for being 95
Ответитьthis makes me cry. God bless the soul of this men.
ОтветитьAs technology improves and the home life becomes better, with delivered foods and amazon, loads of entertainment on TV, videogaming getting so good that we'll have photorealistic VR soon....
It's going to make the mental anguish even worse when we have to go do something like fight in a war. You could even associate this pandemic of mental health and people not wanting to work anymore with how much these things have improved for us since the internet came along and united us all.
When the Iraq war happened and British people thought Americans were killers, I remember someone actually came up to my friend in the street and gave him some abuse. My friend, born in America but lived in England since he was 12 years old. It's crazy how people will let the media control how they treat people completely unrelated to something, and view anything as association.
ОтветитьLooking at the badges on that mans chest... "YOu've been through a lot, son" is not something to take lightly at all.
ОтветитьWorld war 2 vets are disappearing so fast…I feel more for recent war vets…our governments seem to be turning their backs on them ..Vietnam vets were along time to be recognised it was sad..god bless you all and thanks for your service ..
ОтветитьSUPPORT YOUR OWN FUCKING VETS!!! I DONT CARE WHAT FLAG YOU COME FROM!!! I dont care about our respective countries' disagreements. SUPPORT YOUR RESPECTIVE VETS!!!
ОтветитьThank you for all you have been through, anyone reading this who served. I am sorry we could not avoid wars. I am sorry you had to go to war or several. I am sorry you saw things and did things that must have been traumatising at times. And i am sorry you haven’t been treated better by us all. Sending you love and healing thank you ❤ thank you thank you thank you ❤
Ответить8 combat tours.
I still refuse to speak of what goes on inside my head. I guess I’m scared to let some other stud who’s done more hear about me bitching about some shit that’s easily cured with a pill.
But I don’t want the pills.
I just let it rot inside of me. And I think it’s because I think I deserve it.
I Wish Both of these Men the Best, Thanks For your Service and the sacrifice you both made. I hope that you both keep in contact with each other.
Ответить"You've been through a lot, haven't you lad?"
Jesus.
men like these give us freedom ..thank you
ОтветитьWe should be behind our soldiers 100%
Ответитьwhen i was 13 we had a family dinner. I remember my grandfather sitting stairing at a t.v. that wasnt turned on. With all the noise from the kids running around and he just sat focused on that blank screen. I watched him for awhile when My grandmother walked up and put her hand on my shoulder and said reassuringly "He's ok dear. He's just not with us right now"
ОтветитьORLOKON !!! Legendary !!!
Ответитьi come back to this video from time to time, im more and more close to join the military and this keeps me stuck on reality, itll suck, and i hope i'll embrass the suck
Ответитьanyone know which batallion the afghani vet were in?
ОтветитьI wish the conversation was longer or we could hear more questions and answers.
ОтветитьWe trained in Belize in the jungle for iraq. How many jungles does iraq have 🤔.
Ответить"Where would you swim to?" that is the hardest hitting question i have ever heard tbh...
ОтветитьThe young guy reminds me of a short haired Drew McIntyre from WWE.
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful connection between these two
ОтветитьListening to these two gives me pause at the turmoil I actually went though. I was in Kosovo in 99, Afgan in 03-04, Iraq in 05-06 and then again in 07-08. It was the job and I did my part, but it wasn't without sacrifice. No welcome parades, no atta-boys, just off the plane and back to garrison duty. War is harder than most people nowadays realize.
ОтветитьYou can hear his beautiful irish accent. The irish ALWAYS appreciate a brilliant fight and fighter. The hand shake at the end says it all, 100 per cent respect. You’ve been through a lot son, the moment the tears flowed. WW2 vet saying that…OMG!!
ОтветитьThat ending handshake said everything! The way they locked eyes and both genuinely felt the moment was amazing! Truly touched my and my heart!
Ответить😅37 million views fantastic!!!
Ответить“You’ve been quite through a lot…” I want to say that to every veteran. They’ve been through so much. My family…it’s changed them, and perhaps not for the better.
ОтветитьAnd current pussy vets just saw one pussy vet getting attention for imaginary PTSD and followed
ОтветитьIf I had an opportunity to talk to a.ww2 vet I wouldn't say a damn word about my service
ОтветитьLol Iraq and Afghanistan don't come anywhere near ww1 2 or Vietnam. The pussy crop of vets today just want attention and money. They all knew what they signed up for. I wish the old man would have slapped the shit out of the girl and told her to stfu
ОтветитьWar doesn't stop when you come home, it resumes in your head and your heart. Many friends didn't win their war, and even two years later I still mourn their passing. Faces I'll never see, voices I'll never hear again. Memories only remembered by one instead of two. I miss my buds.
ОтветитьThis was a very touching video and I'm glad both of these veterans were able to meet. (USAF 14 yrs)
ОтветитьThe old dude is the coolest mf I ever seen
ОтветитьCaption should be young soldier met old soldier tbh 🗿
ОтветитьReading comments proves that war sucks, and the ending of war is fiction, because it will never end.
ОтветитьGod bless the men and women that have laid down their lives and also who have persisted with injury and trauma
ОтветитьVets that were in Vietnam and the Middle East had it exponentially worse than those in the European Theater.
ОтветитьWar is about hatred and bad ideology...you've been told to hate someone and fight him as enemy, a person you even never meet before, in personal...that's War
ОтветитьWhere would you swim to? Dang……
ОтветитьLove to everyone who puts their life on the line, I've only met my father once before he died but he was WWII marine or so my mother told me, i know he has been through a lot so I just wish best for all.
ОтветитьThankfully, John Dennett is still alive by my understanding. This generation should be cherished and we should absorb all their wisdom whilst we can.
John saying "You've been through quite alot haven't you" must bring incredible comfort to the young soilder, especially coming from someone who has been there. I can't imagine many people say that to him.
My late grandad was away from 1950-53 serving in Korea...my nanna had no idea of his status until he returned to her.
RIP you Hero 🙌
and always remember buddy ...Trump thinks your a LOSER......a man that shits himself daily and got out of service faking "bone SPURS' you are a hero ..never forget it. And tell trump and his coward cult to F Off..
ОтветитьHearing someone older than you, who's been through worse say you've been through a lot would break me into tears
Ответить
