Being from New Orleans seeing this list it makes me really miss K-Pauls . There are old world country Cajun restaurants outside of New Orleans that are even better than what you could find inside of it . Paul Prudhomme brought a lot of the Opelousas and Lafayette areas into New Orleans cooking and it was stellar .

Surprised that you didn't mention when talking about Commanders Palace, it's where both Paul Prudhomme and Emeril Lagasse got their start in the culinary world.

I've been to Dat Dog's. The music was a little loud, but the food was phenomenal. Try a Rougaru!

The acme restaurant was a great restaurant to get raw oysters!
