ОтветитьMy ortho Doc told me a year ago to start taking B6 because I started having carpal tunnel like symptoms. I thought he was just putting me off but I started taking it anyway. It took several weeks but actually worked! Now I take it every day twice a day, just like he told me too, and I only have very mild symptoms once in a while for short periods of time instead of intense symptoms all day every day! Couldn’t be happier especially since my job is very hands on at work and at home as a single mom to a very active 2 year old boy 😊

Currently taking a high dose of benfotiamine and B-Complex and feeling MUCH BETTER! Was able to play games with my kids on the beach for the first time... I haven't been able to do anything like that in almost twenty years... I even went in the sea!

ОтветитьI have eczema. Somehow, I can’t tolerate a B6 vitamin in pill form but I have no problem eating meat. B6 aggravates my eczema and I break out.

How much Vitamin B6 is advised to be taken per day, please?
I took B6 & cod liver oil when I was pregnant and I did not get morning sickness ... this was true for all three of my pregnancies. My son had pain in all his joints as a teenager then he became exposed to TB, so was on a heavy antibotics for at least a year and he was given B6.. After treatment he no longer had joint pain even years later as I asked him about it...

ОтветитьJust a word on also being very cautious of vitamin B6 toxicity. Many supplements are sold at doses far higher than the 25mg daily Dr Berg recommends. Think 500mg and no warnings. Take that much a day for a couple of weeks and it causes extremely painful neurological nerve damage to extremities like hands and feet that can be permanent. Always treat supplements with respect and be careful. B6 is not like mega dosing D3 or B12 for example.

ОтветитьPlease be careful supplementing with B6. Too much (synthetic) B6 can lead for some people to B6 toxicity. B6T is a real thing. There's a FB group on B6 toxicity, "Vitamin B6 toxicity support"

ОтветитьWhen I went through perimenopause, I had water retention in my hands and couldn’t even make a tight fist. I remembered hearing or reading that one of the B vitamins helped with fluid retention so (this was about 10 years ago so I didn’t know about Dr. Berg) I started talking a B complex supplement. Even though it was synthetic, it got rid of that edema! And it helped me in so many ways with that phase of life. It can’t be over stressed how important B vitamins are.

ОтветитьGreat info as always, Dr. Berg. Wish I'd known this about 20 years ago when I had morning sickness so bad I lost weight into the second trimester. Funny thing is even all these years later I still vomit when my period starts, so I figured it had to be hormones... but never in a million years would I have thought of B6. Hope this helps younger women out there struggling with debilitating morning sickness.
