If beam ng, assetto, gran Turismo, and forza devs all came together, and made a racing game. It would be incredible. I mean assetto and beam are the two best driving games hands down rn in my opinion. So imagine assetto with beam crash physics

What can this game do that every other sim released in the past decade hasn't? Maybe I'm a little jaded, but I haven't seen much innovation in a long time. Here's hoping AC Evo has something special to reveal.

Concerning that it's not called Assetto Corsa 2. The fact they are going with this "EVO" name shows that they are likely trying to distance expectations from what people would want out of a direct follow up to the original Assetto Corsa. Which is also concerning because of what this could mean for the moddability of this new Assetto Corsa, as well as the monetization, and other aspects of the game which made the original Assetto Corsa so successful. Tbh all they really need to do is modernize the original Assetto Corsa, and build out a much better online multiplayer system. Obviously easier said than done, but still, it would make AC EVO THE racing sim if done correctly. Everyone else has dropped the ball at least somewhat and AC EVO would become easily the dominant sim-racing platform, especially since it's one of the only multi-platform ones. All they have to do is basically not get greedy or betray the expectations and foundation of what made the series so successful in the first place. Basically just whatever Kunos does, they absolutely cannot pull a "Forza Motorsport" like Turn 10 did.

The 3 core pillars are moddability, excellent VR performance/quality, and a fantastic Force-Feedback/Physics&Tire Model. If they get those right, everything else can be iterated on and developed around those foundational elements. They got them right in Assetto Corsa, and I assume they will be going back to their original engine (or an updated version of it) instead of using Unreal Engine like ACC. So hopefully those elements won't have been lost. Because the original Assetto Corsa still has a far better Force Feedback and Physics/Tire model than ACC imo. And also far better moddability.

This is what I think would make a great multiplayer feature set for a new Assetto Corsa:

• detailed driver stat tracking+skill and safety rating
• improved penalty system
• fully featured spectator mode, camera mode, and recording capabilities which are conducive to eSports racing broadcasts and regular players
• matchmaking/LFM or iRacing style races at set times
• leaderboard integration with systems to prevent cheaters
• livery creation and sharing tools
• setup market and rating system for the setups
• maybe some sort of in-game social system
• no battlepass needed
• different in-game series and championships

Me over here still with the original assetto corsa

If I don't need to add a ton of mods unlike in the original then this would be the best game ever

I hope the game will use forward rendering like original AC or VR will be blurry.
