PlayStation Classic - I Like It! But You Probably Won't

I'm happy with my purchase glad I got one I have over 200 ps1 games but still a few on the classic I don't own & I'm sure having a lot of fun. Thanks John for another fun video.

Warts and all, this is under my Christmas tree and I can't wait for the nostalgia on Christmas morning.

Even IF it was great I would have to pass since I own most of the games on the thing and the few I do not are just NOT worth it for me. The fact that it sounds like a raspberry pie with BAD emulator configuration does NOT help to change my mind.

Its definitely worth the 100 because the graphics are better than the snes clsssic and that’s like 79. The pal stuff doesn’t even matter much unless ur some hardcore gamer. It’s a fun little collection of games

The price point certainly hurts a lot. The selection of games is...interesting...to say the least, only in that certain franchises that seemed almost mascot-level for the system not present is odd. Some of the titles I don't feel have held up as well due to them still being in the growing pains era of 3D gaming. So it's that odd mix of not exactly for gamers who likely have what they need, but also not as broad and reaching towards the more casual and nostalgic crowd like the NES and SNES captured.

Regardless, we'll be picking on up...just...maybe not at $100.

Very hard to believe someone that lives in the US can't tell the difference between 50 and 60 hz?I've been gaming for years and can tell when it's in 50hz because it's the same playing original NES on a HDTV without a Retrotink2x which will cause extra frames of lag meaning it runs slow.

For the price, and the bad emulation, its definitely not worth 100 dollars.
It's for people who sold their ps1 back in the day and are only wanting it for nostalgia, thats it.

I see all these as being a collectors thing. Whether they're good or bad, collectors will buy. That's the way I am, but I'm not a collector for these, so, I won't buy. Good vid though.

Hi there John Riggs I'm a huge fan I watch you all the time so I figured I would give you a little bit of information on the PlayStation classic I was watching another video from another person and they found out that if you plug in a USB keyboard into the PlayStation classic and scape you can change the settings as such you can add scan lines change the Region's from Powell to us so on and so forth it sucks the PlayStation didn't allow or do this for us but at least we could do it ourselves be careful though it is a little buggy and a can cause a game to crash so use at your own discretion good luck from your Canadian fan

I bought one, just like I have the other minis, because I want to collect them. There are a lot of collectors who have spent 10's of thousands on games, that they never will play, but they bought them, because they want to have a collection of a system. I love watching collectors like MJR, but don't understand why when they clearly have spent thousands on games they will never play, not buying into this sort of nostalgia for $100.

If they maybe down the road come out with another version of this with a different set of games they should do the PSOne model with the dual analog controllers :)

It’s actually “not bad”, not great but more for the general consumer who had the ps1 back in the day. I know a lot of people who are not gamers like us and wouldn’t know how to do a emulate on their computer, they just want to plug and play. Yes could of had some better games. But not bad for the average mom and pop consumer.

I used to have terrible Psoriasis all over my body. Face, scalp, arms, hands, chest, back, legs, feet, etc. I literally had it from my elbows all the way down to my wrists and from my knees all the way down to my ankles. My shins were just solid scales.

What finally worked for me is a new drug called Xeljanz (chemical name: Tofacitinib). It's ridiculously expensive though. I was on a trial for it and within a couple months, it had wiped out 99% of my Psoriasis. When the trial ended, my doctor wrote a prescription for it and luckily it was covered, since there's no way I could afford the $4,800 a month that it costs! Actually, I'm taking it for my Psoriatic Arthritis, which it keeps under control, the fact that it also works wonders on Psoriasis is just a bonus.

Right now I only have relatively small spots on my elbows and a few pencil eraser sized spots on the back of my hands.

Hopefully the patent expires soon and someone makes a generic version of it, since it's the most convenient medication for these conditions. Just one pill a day.
