So glad I found this, a great guy,my favourite boxer back in the 80 raw talent 🇮🇪
ОтветитьThank you for posting his story,I'm a big boxing fan and I always wondered what ever happened to the Bomber. Now I know, Thank you again. 😊
ОтветитьGreat guy god be with him nobody else like him
ОтветитьHe couldve been the Cooper of his time had a good left hook to.
ОтветитьThe Welsh Rocky 💪🏻🏴
ОтветитьI was at St David's Hall in Sep 1983 to see David Pearce win the British title. I had no idea of the hardship he faced later in life, this is a great film about a brave and talented fighter.
ОтветитьR.I.P David .Great video. He seemed like a really genuine man.glad to learn about him!
ОтветитьLoved this so much brought a tear to my eyes and I promise to visit Newport and his statue love to his family and a special thankyou to David the Lonsdale belt he won should be gifted to his family xxx
ОтветитьSo sad or David what a lovely person and a fighter well done Luke and the rest of his mates and family, and Charlie .
ОтветитьReally moved watching this documentary on David 'Bomber' Pearce in NSW Australia. What a fighter, a great great man.
ОтветитьThe BBB of control failed him imo 🥊🥊
ОтветитьBrilliant video mate ❤ big love for David Pearce ❤
ОтветитьChamp 🥊💨
Ответитьgreat documentary on a talented boxer and an outstanding man.
I had the great pleasure of knowing David, he was such a lovely man, no ego, just a happy go lucky Gent.
RIP mate.
That made me sad. A great man. A great fighter. That's all he had. Heartbreaking. Bless his nephew and the people of Newport
ОтветитьI remember Bomber pearce and followed his career a little small for a heavyweight but he would have been a serious challenger for world honours at cruiser !!!! RESPECT to the Pearce family for keeping his memory alive ….
ОтветитьIs this narrated by Nathan Blake?
ОтветитьWow, what a fantastic boxer, harrowing story. Really feel for the guy..well, done Luke, you done your legendary uncle proud. 2 great men 👏
ОтветитьShame Real Shame for David great trainer Real Man’s Man
ОтветитьLove this David was a great brother xx
ОтветитьMy home town but I've only been back once since I was born.I remember my Dad used to go to a pub called the Globe.we lived in Joan St and Stowe Hill.Happy memories😊.Early 70s.
Ответить🙌👏
ОтветитьA great story at 1st, then it all went wrong. R.I.P David u will never be forgotten brother. 🙏🇺🇲🗽🏴🙏
ОтветитьVery underestimated boxer. Was it true Frank Bruno once avoided him?
ОтветитьLove someone to make a movie of this guy. A few people have said Henry Cavill would be perfect to play him.
ОтветитьBruno became mentally damaged too, difference being the mainstream supported him.
ОтветитьPoor sod was targeted, his personality types are always used and abused.
ОтветитьThe BBBC are hypocrites and liars, the amount of mismatches they allow in order to build someone up, boxers who have zero business being in the ring, i still think they were protecting Bruno, the PC crap was rampant back then.
ОтветитьWhen his "Support" team forgot to book him a hotel room for his European title challenge in France, and he spent the night sleeping rough with a fractured hand ,,,That just says it all ,,,,, A Warrior surrounded by donkeys , he deserved better ,God bless him
Ответить🕯️
ОтветитьSteered bruno away from Pearce , did the same with liverpool's Noel Quarless I think both big hitters . Not saying they would of beat big Frank but weren't given the chance. Big risk little reward .
ОтветитьDavid Pearce, a Newport legend. Feel a bit of credit should go to Charlie Bronson here also, what a great gesture to help the cause. Respect all round.
ОтветитьThank you so so much for this, I followed him around 83 i was only 22yrs old at the time and always thought he was a certainty to go far, Didn't have internet then for much information and had no idea what had happened other than the brain scan dilemma. Glad he got the statue and well done to Luke. Rip David.
ОтветитьBoxRec has a nice page on him.
ОтветитьIn 2008 a work colleague from Swansea went into a local car dealership and a man who was clearly living on the streets and an alcoholic shuffled in begging for money. That man was the late Neville Meade former British boxing champion who Pearce defeated to win the title. Very sad.
ОтветитьFantastic program well done Luke
ОтветитьHERO
ОтветитьI watched him beat Neville Meade, and saw a few other fights of his. I wish he had had a better break in life. Really sad. I am English, but always support the Brits and consider David one of my own. Lovely bloke. Never forget him.
ОтветитьLooks like the boxing licence board was right on this one . Dementia Pugilistica is horrible .
ОтветитьA magnificent and incredibly sad documentary of a true Welsh legend 💕💕
ОтветитьA heartbreaking story... a great man, a great boxer and a true gentleman...May he rest in peace
ОтветитьI don't think I've ever seen a guy that lived for fighting like David. This is a truely sad story!!!
ОтветитьGod Bless him, always wanted to visit Wales and now when I go there's a statue of a good man to see.
ОтветитьNever heard of the dude until now.Good stuff.
ОтветитьA bunch of hype about a nobody. Comparing him to Rocky Marciano is a huge insult to Rocky. He never fought one name guy and got KO'ed twice while losing 4 out of 21 fights.
ОтветитьI remember watching the mead fight live. loved the heart shown by David Pearce.
ОтветитьSad and uplifting in equal measure. Very glad I saw this documentary and know a little more about a super fella, his life and family.
ОтветитьGreat video only complaint is can we get some subtitles for Bronson 😂 I couldn't understand a word he said
