I would be interested to know how long it took to build, how many laborers built it and what engineering method was used. It must have taken at a minimum 10 years to build that castle considering the limited amount of machinery back in those days. It is so beautiful.

As a German I highly recommend to do the guided tour inside the castle and visit the museum afterwards. There are hundreds of valuable treasures, weapons and medieval artifacts (including a 500 year old bed) which give you a glance into different time periods.😊

While it used to be a legitimate castle it technically isnt a castle anymore. A castle is a fortified dwelling. This place isn't fortified and no one lives there full time.

The bad side is, that hundreds and thousands of the citizens and farmers and unfree persons had to work, to pay and to die for that castles. In my mind, the castles
don' t belong to this family, but the whole german people. The people paid for it hundreds of years.
