say the truth 3 years if you reside in portugal or have a common child together if you reside outside and do not have children it s 6 years of marriage or civil partnership. civil partnership must be recognized by a portuguese court. Marriage citizenship cases can only be processed in lisbon register and take 2 to 3 years to conclude. If you marry out of interest you will need 6 years of marriage to apply plus 2-3 years of burocracy.
