I know you guys tried the egg coffee and salted coffee, but did you try the peanut, coconut, or yogurt coffees? Vietnam has some amazing and unique coffee flavors...and drinks in general.

I'm catching up on your videos so I gotta start with the food tour. :) Glad you did another one in Vietnam...if you ever come back to Hoi An and want to do another food tour, check out the one "Steph and Pete" used as she was really good, too. I heard there are 3 great banh mi vendors in Hoi An and the one that Anthony Bourdain made famous isn't necessarily the best. Also try eating at Ba Le Whale, Morning Glory, Nu Eatery, etc.

The tourguider know nothing about Bun Cha. The source in Hanoi is bland, including both sweet and sour. Compared to Hanoi, the source in Hoi An and Saigon is sweeter and saltier, Hoi An's is the saltiest. Generally, the different tastes among Northern, Southern and the Middle are: (i) the northern people prefer the natural taste, less use sprices and follow the traditional rule of balance; (ii) the Southern people prefer the diversity and fusion, the topping for food is more interesting; (iii) the people in the middle of Vietnam prefer strong taste and use more spices.

We saw much tempting street food in Hoi An but much of it we were afraid to try because as is common with street food anywhere being served in bowls when there is clearly no proper facility like running water for washing and cleaning the bowls and utensils, there are serious risks of gastroenteritis from inadequate hygiene.
We were sorry to miss out on delicious looking food but we also missed out on food poisoning.

Love your videos!! Been traveling through Vietnam a lot lately and the food is amazing! One thing I noticed about Hanoi and Hoi An is the herbs served with the foods are quite different to Ho Chi Minh. The Com Ga you had has a distinctive herb that I got quite used to in the North of Vietnam.
