Sony a7 IV Setup Guide for Photo & Video | EXTREMELY DETAILED

Hey y’all, worked super hard on this! Hope you guys enjoy it and find it helpful! It’s 52min but I did my best to include visual examples so it’s easier to understand what each feature does! It took me so long to make this because I didn’t want skimp on it. I put a lot of thought into it to make sure it makes sense from a Photo/Video Hybrid perspective. Great vid, thankyou- regarding hybrid memory, Im having issues with needing a focus area for photo and a different one for video, is there a way to have the focus area recalled? I'm not finding an answer to that question. Thankyou

Amazing Video

Thanks for a great video and tips. Do you know why Soney would have to different indicators for the wheels on top that is 90 degrees different, one forward and the other on the side of the flash. To me this doesn't make any sense at all, as you don't see the one on the side of the flash, and as they might as well use the same for both wheels.

Just picked up an a7iv (designated stills camera) to accompany my FX6 & Fx3, after following your setup I'm changing all my cameras to run in a similar fashion! 2 months away from Film school graduation (FullSail)...thank you for this starting position as I get more familiar with my cameras!

Thanks for this guide. I have a question though. I switched to video mode and set the PP to PP11. But when I switched to photo mode, the PP is being carried with it. It is possible not to have PP when in photo mode and still keep it in video mode?

I'm considering an A7IV as my end game photography camera. I am not a professional and for my budget this camera is more than I ever could have imaged spending on a camera but I like the screen articulation vs the other models/brands. I'd like to get my hands on one soon just to see it as I have been on Nikon cameras for about a year now (since I started)

I shoot compressed raw as well. File size is about 1/3rd smaller than compressed! Haven't seen a difference when shooting in either.
