RDM is the best Job and I will never apologize for thinking so. It has a fun rotation, it's fun to save the party's bacon, and it's sweet to be fly as verhells in doing so. But the most fun is getting to drop the Opthachirurgeon's Friend, Vermillion Scourge, upon an unwitting cadre of comrades -- and then raise half of them after they miss that crucial mechanic I obscured with my oh, so delightfully flashy display of [content redacted].

Hehe I guess that's the sacrifice you must be willing to make to wear the pimp hat! Not me tho, I am not rdm in FFXIV and have not unlocked it but I sure as hell was in FFXI Online and the pimp hat carried alot of weight and respect and what made it great was refresh, enfeeble, power leveling aka PL, support healing, healing, duo healing with a summoner or sometimes full on healer if none was around in Cadavra Mire or whatever it's called. I must admit tho the real reason I liked it was because I was able to use whm and blm spells and solo some quests and grab maps of areas like Altepa Desert. The pimp hat is a plus and you could even weild Excalibur! 😌

I honestly just don’t see the point of playing RDM when Summoner does it’s job but way more better.

If you get the chance to troll, not only your party, but the entire alliance raid with a massive FU flash bang, you must take it. It is a redmage rite of passage. 😤

Remember that time you solo rezz the entire alliance, saving everyone from the brink of annihilation, and not a single thank you or commend was thrown your way? Remember that. Channel that feeling to your blade and unleash your crimson rage on the lot of them. MuhahaHAHAHAHAHA!

The LB is the best part of being a red mage. No regrets!!

Reminds me of that one time in one of the Nier raids few years ago where the other 2 RDMs used their LBs back to back. It was so glorious that I followed up with my LB as the third RDM right after the second one. Three back to back to back verflashbangs. It was AMAZING! Seeing everyone's "appreciation" in chat over it was heart warming.

I always yell out “VERFLASHBANG” whenever I LB. If you don’t want the RDM to LB3, be quicker on the button. Good luck though because I use it immediately lol

As a RDM main, I can confirm this is 100% accurate.

I actually do get comms while playing Red Mage, though. And I haven't used Verraise yet on my current character because people in my dungeon groups haven't been dying. Red Mage is a fairly simple job to play, which lets me do decent damage while still watching for boss mechanics. That's probably a big part of it.

That famous Red Mage drip may be a factor, too. My character has a rather distinctive and pleasant look to her, and she wears the Eastern Lady's Togi in that job. People probably like that because it looks nice and slinky and mage-y, and is appropriately red by default, and not because you can see her panties through it. 😅

How'd you get so many people into the Heroes Gauntlet? I thought you could only get at max 4 ppl in there w/ Explorer mode.

I get RDM LB3 privileges. You get multiple raises or a crime scene.

You just aint doing it right. Just be a pocket raise and queue the roulette when the game ask for healers

I came for the memes and stayed for the music. For real tho, red mages are fabulous af and that's why their my favorite.

The red mage has serious drip though. Anyone with a brain knows that great drip greatly outweighs any and all negatives.

The LB3 wasn't enough. That RDM just had to sneak one extra flash in there...

The first time this happened you really wondered if the red mage LB as friendly fire On🤣

My mantra as RDM is this: "It doesn't matter if you win or lose, but how good you look doing it!"

And by that metric I'm always successful at RDM.

It's the perfect class if you trust no one. Trust no one..

You all fail to understand the Red Mage. A Red Mage must always carry the biggest drip if it is to balance black and white magic. But to carry the drip causes an intense drain on our own psyche, leading us to involuntary jump off the arena. And so when a limit break finally fills, do we finally have the chance to release the drip. Releasing it's brilliant shine upon our enemies. Those who suffer the flash of our drip are only witnessing the fraction of our suffering. The suffering that comes with carrying the drip of a red mage.

Had someone verflashbang in my recent nier raid and wiped out half the alliance, because no one could see the incoming mechanic. I ended up having to rez both healers and the non-repentant red mage as a SMN.
