"Before it's too late." Morons, not warming but cooling. The best solar scientists prediction a solar downturn.
ОтветитьRight right right you really believe they were gonna connect 420 plants from Bangor Maine to the state of California I don’t think we’re gonna do that. I think we’re just gonna power locally I mean what else could you possibly do a moron
ОтветитьYeah, we have five on the outside but if we have a fusion one, we can use the other elements with it
ОтветитьSouth Carolina needs one of these this way we can make a rum cake
ОтветитьJste skvělí. Je 8.32
ОтветитьPokroky ve vědě jsou skvělé. Je16.5 hod 2.6.2023
ОтветитьWe need to bring Elon to fusion development
ОтветитьSnažím se o hudbu. A nejsem robot. Petr Kerka
ОтветитьJste skvělí. Děkuji
ОтветитьWell this aged well with fusion reaction lol
ОтветитьVěřím v pokrok ve švýcarském CERNU i jinde . Je 21.14.
ОтветитьWhat?! terrapower has 2 CEOs?
ОтветитьIf something goes wrong, it just stops. Yes it will, and often. This is said of a device that is so complex that it can be expected to be shutdown for repairs for longer times than it operates. Fusion is a red herring that scientist have been milking for a half a century with global costs to date quickly approaching a trillion dollars. For goodness sake, it operates at 100 million degrees minimum! How do you transfer that heat without damaging the machine? It is foreseeable that at best, it will only be able to produce enough energy (safely) to provide for its operation. Understand this: it is hotter than a star! Thorium is the answer and has always been the answer. It also seem self-defeating to have super cooled magnets containing a hundred million degree plasma. Am I missing something here?
Ответить"The energy that we need is going to be mastering this fusion". Tell me you can't speak English without telling me you can't speak English.

ОтветитьIf yall want to consume energy like greedy animals, ya have to go nuclear.
ОтветитьThe video is very old. Lots of breakthrough is already happening right now. The fact that they do not showcase that nuclear fusion positive netgain is possible in 2024 just shows how old this video is. Nuclear fusion is not fairytale anymore nowadays.
ОтветитьAnd SMR technology,
As always, the New York Times got it completely wrong: the National Ignition Facility reached break-even. Makes me enthusiastic for the future of the other technologies!
ОтветитьWell that didn’t age well!
ОтветитьInstead of searching for the "Holy Grail", why not address the real problem? That of the gross overpopulation of our planet, thanks to third-world primitive people in Africa and Asia.
ОтветитьBetter they would have started just after ww2 during cold war all the problems been solved till now.
ОтветитьSo basically Spiderman 2 🕷️
ОтветитьIoi
ОтветитьThis won't stop the greed of energy companies charging us enough money to still make them billions in profits, so this all means nothing.
ОтветитьWell break even x 50 just happened
ОтветитьThis video is OLD! because they Just succeeded break even in 2022! I guess those people was wrong
ОтветитьI totally agree. This is definitely a mentality issue. We have to encourage governments to contribute actively in fusion energy projects no matter how long it takes. If finally a breakthrough is achieved, it's going to be the biggest solution to our energy crises. We have to make the public aware of the benefits of fusion energy to our planet and our future generation by educating them. This is the only way a mentality change can occur. At the moment the vast majority are ignorant to the benefits and knowledge of fusion energy.
ОтветитьAnswer is yes!
Ответить12/12/22, the day we achieved net positive energy output from nuclear fusion
Ответитьhow the times have changed...
ОтветитьThey finally did it in the US.
ОтветитьShould we not recycle nuclear fusion?
ОтветитьMy concern is that you're giving other countries news that they want to advance like us just as fast. President Biden told President Putin that we have controlled nuclear fusion explosions or something to that effect. Don't tell your enemies that kind of thing.
Ответить3 years later they achieved it with lasers
Ответить3 years later and the breakthrough happened 12/12/22
ОтветитьI'm here after the announcement.
ОтветитьI wonder if they they can compress hydrogen to 265 billion bar pressure (which is in the center of the sun) which is required for fusion to occur maybe....
ОтветитьThey need Nikola
ОтветитьUse fission, solar, and everything else to try to save the ice caps before fusion is widely deployed. :-(
ОтветитьCFS expects to have net energy from fusion by 2025 from the SPARC reactor that they're now building. They expect to have ignition by 2030 and a commercial fusion power plant by 2035. :-)
ОтветитьI think fusion would be good
ОтветитьEven with a functioning fusion reactor, the object is to drive a turbine with steam. That seems ironic, but I surely can't imagine any other chain.
Perhaps one day, someone will find a something more efficient.
We have definite 100% green solution through nature resources and our current advanced technologies right under us....the nuke of the Earth itself....it is unlimited source of high heat that we already could extract up to surface using it for safe low cost production of energy via steam powered turbines....It is all possible these days but strictly classified to avoid colapse of present energy industries as their owners deny to retire and lose endless income so they corrupt politics who purposely restrict scientists redirecting them to costly debatable sci-fi solutions like fusion....This whole civilization is one big circus!
ОтветитьBeautiful, huge, apotheosis, immensely expensive fusion plants, but too late, good for the future but not an immediate problem solution on climate change. Go back and build Nikola Tesla's 1893 cheap electric energy plant, no fossil fuel with its electromagnetism technology, bring it up to date, decide on meter charge later, and use the same distribution and substations existing.
ОтветитьIf the sun had to depend on humans, we'd all be dead.
