"Before it's too late." Morons, not warming but cooling. The best solar scientists prediction a solar downturn.

Right right right you really believe they were gonna connect 420 plants from Bangor Maine to the state of California I don’t think we’re gonna do that. I think we’re just gonna power locally I mean what else could you possibly do a moron

Yeah, we have five on the outside but if we have a fusion one, we can use the other elements with it

If something goes wrong, it just stops. Yes it will, and often. This is said of a device that is so complex that it can be expected to be shutdown for repairs for longer times than it operates. Fusion is a red herring that scientist have been milking for a half a century with global costs to date quickly approaching a trillion dollars. For goodness sake, it operates at 100 million degrees minimum! How do you transfer that heat without damaging the machine? It is foreseeable that at best, it will only be able to produce enough energy (safely) to provide for its operation. Understand this: it is hotter than a star! Thorium is the answer and has always been the answer. It also seem self-defeating to have super cooled magnets containing a hundred million degree plasma. Am I missing something here?

I totally agree. This is definitely a mentality issue. We have to encourage governments to contribute actively in fusion energy projects no matter how long it takes. If finally a breakthrough is achieved, it's going to be the biggest solution to our energy crises. We have to make the public aware of the benefits of fusion energy to our planet and our future generation by educating them. This is the only way a mentality change can occur. At the moment the vast majority are ignorant to the benefits and knowledge of fusion energy.

Even with a functioning fusion reactor, the object is to drive a turbine with steam. That seems ironic, but I surely can't imagine any other chain.
Perhaps one day, someone will find a something more efficient.

We have definite 100% green solution through nature resources and our current advanced technologies right under us....the nuke of the Earth itself....it is unlimited source of high heat that we already could extract up to surface using it for safe low cost production of energy via steam powered turbines....It is all possible these days but strictly classified to avoid colapse of present energy industries as their owners deny to retire and lose endless income so they corrupt politics who purposely restrict scientists redirecting them to costly debatable sci-fi solutions like fusion....This whole civilization is one big circus!

Beautiful, huge, apotheosis, immensely expensive fusion plants, but too late, good for the future but not an immediate problem solution on climate change. Go back and build Nikola Tesla's 1893 cheap electric energy plant, no fossil fuel with its electromagnetism technology, bring it up to date, decide on meter charge later, and use the same distribution and substations existing.
