Hi, is there a website were you can add a value e.g. £500 and then it shows you a list of etfs and which would have gained you the most money during a selected period? Thank you, it would be interesting to know.
ОтветитьHow are fund fees paid on InvestEngine? Do I need to keep a small amount of cash in my account to cover fees?
ОтветитьInvesting Newbie here. Can I ask whether you're keeping VWRP in your 'Index and chill' portfolio or are you ust showing us the ETF. Asking as looking at both, but considered I might be doubling up in some way if I did. What are your thoughts?
ОтветитьIsnt IE much more expensive than investing on the Vanguard platform? If youre only investing in Vanguard funds, why not just invest on the Vanguard platform? (apart from the V platform doesnt have some accumulation ETFs which - admittedly - is frustrating).
ОтветитьGreat video as always Toby. You mentioned that you can have more than one portfolio within the ISA, so presumably that works within the ISA rules of only having one S&S ISA in any tax year? The one ISA being with Invest Engine, which is then subdivided within the current years tax wrapper?
ОтветитьIs it possible to invest fractionally in an index fund e.g. the top 100 stocks in the S&P 500?
Ответить🙏
ОтветитьIs it possible to do a video that compares how just investing your pension into a global index fund performs vs the specific pension plans that you get put on when you have a private company pension (L&G, Aviva, Nest, ect)?
ОтветитьGreat content thanks for the easy to pick up info.
Got a question
Year on year you will open a new stock and shares isa. Does that mean every year you re-buy the same ETF? And then have multiple portfolios?
Also why have you not used trading 212 this year? Cheers
Hi everyone, just wanted to ask a question as a beginner. Having VWRP, VUAG, VHYL, and EQQQ good enough? Or is it too much and overlaps?
ОтветитьHey Toby would you recommend adding a physical gold etf like iShares physical gold to the portfolio for diversification and reducing overall risk?
ОтветитьGreat run down on the InvestEngine platform Toby, like the simplicity of your portfolio....the shiny disco ball was a bonus! Happy new financial year 🎉
ОтветитьAin't a ton less than 500
ОтветитьKinda put a fund together?
ОтветитьWhat link do we need to click on to keep building your wealth over many many years whilst filling our boots?
ОтветитьWhen successful I'll buy a second estate in the Highlands of Greenock
ОтветитьHi Toby, I'm a recent subscriber to your channel and I am really enjoying your content. I do follow a few other financial You Tubers, and they all pretty much say the same as you, i.e. keep it simple with passive funds. I have a Moneyfarm account (ISA and GIA), a T212 account (VUSA and TSLA), a Vanguard account (Lifestrategy 100) and 2 pensions (work and personal). I would like simplify everything so I am thinking about moving my ISA and GIAs from Moneyfarm and Vanguard to T212 ( invested in VWRP). Then, when I take early retirement (hopefully next year), I want to move my pension to one simple platform (probably Vanguard) also invested in VWRP, with a drawdown strategy that has 3 years of living expenses in a cash (in case of market downturns) and all my other investments in stock. Do you think I am over simplifying? Do you think putting everything bar pension in T212 a bit risky?
ОтветитьHey Toby, thinking about setting up a new ISA this tax year. Is it cheaper to invest in Vanguard ETF funds on IE than the Vanguard platform? Sounds like it is but are there any caveats to watch out for?
ОтветитьMy ISA is with IE again this year. i've gone for VUSA (45%), YHYG (25%), RBTX (15%) EMIM (15%).
ОтветитьDo the free cash bonus & share referrals count towards the £20k ISA allowance?
ОтветитьGreat Video. T212 don't seem to have VERG (they have dist. VERX but am looking for growth). Is there an alternative? Thanks
ОтветитьYou have vanguard and investengine. Do you have any other providers you use?
ОтветитьHi, I am currently investing into the Vanguard All World fund, would it make sense to also make sense to invest into the S&P 500 too?
ОтветитьI took the plunge as a newbie on InvestEngine this week. I chose VUSA mainly because I don't know what I'm doing. You chose VUAG...how do I know what to choose? Why did you choose VUAG over anything else? Thanks for your videos Toby!
Ответитьcan i ask why have you chosen invest engine but picked all Vanguard products, would it not be more economical to have gone with the Vanguard platform?
ОтветитьWhy didn't I watch this video BEFORE I opened my new Invest Engine ISA?!! £25 is £25...
ОтветитьLove the sarcastic party poppers 🎉
ОтветитьQuick question Toby. Do I select Hedged or Unhedged when going through ETF pick on Invest Engine
ОтветитьHi Toby,
Just a quick question. I recently was looking into the, ESG Global All Cap UCITS ETF Distributing V3AM. Is this an re-investing account and what does the Distribution mean? Thank you
hi Toby where do I find your portfolios? the link just asks me to sign in then doesn't take me there? I'm already a new user. thanks
ОтветитьInstead of choosing VWRP you could invest in an Invesco FTSE All World ETF - ticker FWRG which only charges 0.15%.
Ответитьi couldnt find... is there an s&p500 accumulation ETF for the US?
ОтветитьToby, Do you know if when Vanguard take their charges, would they first look to take it from any cash sitting within the investengine portfolio or is it always taken from the etf investment?
ОтветитьI jumped in and started investing last week on invest engine. I have chose the same ETFs as you but just changed the percentages a little. Do you have a video explaining the differences between ETHs as I honestly didn't know what to invest in?
ОтветитьIs this a good platform for Europeans?
ОтветитьHi Toby, I'm going to start investing probably 50-£100 per month (can't afford to do your 1000 pcm 😂) is it still worth it with a lower amount like that? Secondly, how does tax work with this kind of investing? Do you pay taxes once you sell your stocks? Thanks mate
ОтветитьHi Toby I’m enjoying your videos. Soo interesting and helpful thanks. I currently have my money in a Nutmeg ISA since November 2021. Would you recommend me transferring over to Invest Engine eventually if the fees get too dear with Nutmeg? I think Invest Engine is a bit cheaper isn’t it?
ОтветитьHi, I've just found your channel and I like your perspective. Subscribed.
I was a little surprised you were recommending Vanguard FTSE All world. Why not something like iShares Edge MSCI World Quality Factor UCITS ETF (Acc) IWFQ. They consistently outperform the Vanguard fund.
Is there something I am missing here?
Anyway. Thanks for the superb video.
Seen their ters fees its double
ОтветитьHey thank you for the amazing vid. Happy New FY.
I think I've seen you do other platforms e.g., T212.
Some ETFs don't seem to be available on T212. For example vgt.
Can I ask, from what you know would you say there are more ETFs on invest engine compare to T212
Toby - great video! Have you seen that they are offering up to £2,500 for people transferring in their portfolios. Very tempting proposition (as a Vanguard user) but do you think this might indicate the start of a platform fee?
ОтветитьIs profits from Stocks and shares isa is taxable? Is there any limitations for investments for stocks and shares isa? Can we invest in world stocks by using stocks and shares isa, and are they tax free?
ОтветитьHi 👋 i invest in 3 etf's mainly vanguard S&P 500 , ishares emerging market and invesco NASDAQ 100. All 3 of them get dividends reinvested. Do you think its good enough for long-term (at least 15 years) to beat inflation and give good returns (12%-15%) for retirement?
ОтветитьThank you! I have opened my Invest Engine account now and have some ETFs on it and have just invested my first £100!!
SP500 / FTSE Developed world / All world / Emerging Markets and VWRL are the chosen protfolio for me at this point at varying percentages
One downside I've encountered with InvestEngine is its lack of 'flexible ISA'. After making a withdrawal, I unintentionally lost £2,000 of my ISA allowance for the year, as their setup doesn’t allow for reinvestment of withdrawn funds. Additionally, InvestEngine doesn't offer interest on uninvested cash.
In contrast, I find Trading 212 to be a stronger option overall, especially for its flexible ISA, Cash ISA offerings, and the ability to earn interest on uninvested cash. It also allows investment in individual stocks, which offers greater control.
For UK residents, Trading 212 currently stands out as the top choice, although it does have a few limitations. Notably, it lacks access to certain US ETFs and index funds, but it still offers a solid selection of popular and robust ETFs.
Just sharing my experience and some observations—not intended as criticism.
Toby have you ever done a ISA transfer with IE? I am going to move my hargreaves ISA over and it will be 'in specie' as standard, so I'm not concerned, but I'm keen to see what it ACTUALLY looks like once it has been transferred
ОтветитьSent a message on another video. This is super helpful. Think I will go with your suggestion where I can throw monthly payments in. My priority is just to invest for the long term and purely long term. Thanks again
ОтветитьCan we invest in individual stocks on a stock and share ISA on invest engine? Or can we only invest in ETFs
ОтветитьHave u tried withdrawals, how good is it for withdrawals, also how reliable is it for 10 yrs and big invested amounts
ОтветитьHi Toby, I’m new to investing and have noticed some shares I’ve invested (Vanguard S&P 500) pay zero dividends. Is it worth having these?
