Hello Tricker! Very cool video. I have a question for you... How does F4E compares to the F14 Tomcat in terms of flying, is it sensitive(pitch, roll). I would like to know because i'm playing with M&K. Thanks in advance. Keep it up

did a ride swap in 85 with a AF guy i got talking to in the o`club while stationed in Germany, the next day I took him out on a fam and a week later I did a back set hop in the phantom, at that point i fell in love with the lines and power available, but their were so many switches and buttons that I could not even think about taking that to war, the F4 is my fav cold war acft but will pass on this mod as i like a real HUD , and 120`s. The fusion tape on the RH wire bundle is a nice add..

Of course, I'll buy this once it is released. There is only issue I have with the sounds. I'm ex-Navy (VF-74) where we had F-4J's while other squadrons had F-4B's. The "B birds" had J79-8 engines while the "J birds" had J79-10 engines. The sounds of taxiing in your video bear no resemblance to any of the Phantoms taxiing around the refueling pits of Oceana nor on the flight deck of the Forrestal. (By the way, the Vigilante's engines sounded the same.) Don't know how they could possibly fix it but I'm sure the USAF's "E birds" J79-17s sounded the same. Perhaps you could relay observation this to Heatblur? There was no idle whine, just the... I can't describe it. Occasionally, my bird would howl (a very low whistle like) if the throttle was suddenly pushed a bit. (I miss the smell of JP-4 in the morning; it smells like... uh, you know!)

Hey @TrickerDCS think I’d be able to good performance still with 5800X3D and 4080? Or should I upgrade to 4090? Or go new cpu and 4090?

I would play dcs more if VR didnt suck so bad on it laggy freezes and randomly crashes we need a good flight sim built for vr I wanna love dcs soo much and I do at some points but most of the time playing I feel like I'm always lagging or something else goes wrong sad really pancake mode is unplayable after you play vr flight sims

How is it that the bombs come off when you're already pulling up but the bombs are still accurate? The hornet would miss big time.

On the aar and getting heavier: Yup! Feel this in the F-14 as well. As it gets heavier, needs slightly more throttle and more nose-up trim.

Phantom went a long way from the 90's (?) FOTI to DCS. To me it is equally amazing what is possible today and what developers made possible back in the 80's and 90's.
And gameplay-wise some of the older sims still are better (well, with my nostalgia glasses on at least).
Looking forward to the F-4! I wish Heatblur would make the F-104, too. But let's see what Aerges will manage to do.
