The idea of zombies using blasters and starfighters sounds like it should be stupid, and yet it’s TERRIFYING! I love it

We need a Death Trooper videogame

This i think is the closest star wars came to touching Warhammer 40k in my opinion.

Death Troopers can mean two things when discussing Star Wars, and you better pray it's not this one.

Sry Thrawn already had scarier Roman Zombie troopers too bad so sad derp troopers.

Ngl this story was actually really scary until they made the zombies start shooting blasters, putting on disguises, and learning to pilot spacecraft. Intelligent zombies in general, except for the Flood from Halo, tend to come off as goofy and lose the edge mindless zombies have of deceased humans being puppeted by some disease or curse to rise and mindlessly hunt for more food. I was honestly expecting the zombies at the end to start talking with how intelligent they seemed.

Stop making everything about the Sequels!

I remember my friend telling me about this book in 8th grade and i thought this would be such a good movie

Naw reading the scene when he enters the broken escape pod, like something had built a nest on there they said they got it unlocked he yells wait! The next chapter opens with them picking up dots of life forms all over the ship getting closer when the guy burst through the door like a mad man screaming to run.

That whole scene gave a real sense of fear and the cannibalistic troopers that was so pitifully sad.

I listened to the Audiobook of Death troopers and it was insanely good!!

the only way this book couldve been better was if it was just new characters

I still have a copy of death troopers and red harvest. I highly recommend them. This was very good. I gotta read them again

Read Red Harvest. Very interesting if you like stories about the Sith.

You know, the story never exactly confirms that all the zombies were destroyed. Meaningfully that in Legends, there’s still a Star Destroyer out there filled with the undead.

The Death Trooper update in SWG was my favorite part of the SWG game. The story and comic gave it a 5 star rating back then. Miss it, but thanks for the bring back memories. 👍

Death Troopers is better than it has any right to be. It has a good mix of horror and self awareness. There are vivid descriptions of gore but, also that extended holiday special reference. Interesting to note that the Purge shows up in another horror themed star wars book Maul Lockdown.

How do zombies Storm troopers have better aim than Normal ones

Nah, as soon as zombies get smart and can use Tools and guns it gets kinda boring for me.

Nice book

Not too sure what to think about zombies with the ability to learn. I can understand why they would have to show some way of dealing with droids, otherwise all that the surviving crew members would have to do is use attack droids in order to wipe out their infected former crew mates.
