The concept of two opposing sides coming together to fight a common enemy and parting as friends has always spoken to me, and always will. And that is why "The Last Battle" instantly became one of my top favorites, and not just among Sabaton's songs.

What a story. My favourite Sabaton song - an absolute banger.

I was kinda sad when I heard this song after the show in 2023 in Vienna over the speakers since I was hoping for Sabaton to play this masterpiece live at my first ever concert.
Was a blast of a show, though. My friends and I will definetly come back next year!! (Or maybe this year? ;) )

It would be a great plot for a movie but I don't think any big Hollywood studio would be willing to make it. Or if so then only with huge changes and not at all historically accurate. Making some ex Nazis heroes? Preposterous. Those have no role in the movie at all. We also have to shove a romance subplot in there somewhere, no matter how unfitting it is. But of course not among the soldiers, we of course can't have homosexuals in our big budget movie.
No, I think it would be best done by some independent studio and by people who don't care what would be conform to the big movie market.

My wife is a teacher (of reading), and we both went to high school in the 80s, and we both like history. and she had not been aware of Sabaton. I saw Bismarck (the video) when it was new, and showed it to her, and away she went. She found this channel, and loves all the music, and we've seen Sabaton live twice in the past year as well, in the US. Just keep doing what you do best!
