The Bluedrake42 situation is crazy

Alright. Coming back with the receipts for stuff I wanted to make abundantly clear that I didn't have access to during the stream.

Bluedrake sent a payment through to my Paypal on May 29th for $100 - This, according to him, was the onboarding payment he makes to every person. I remembered him mentioning the $20-$25 payment. I asked if it was $25 and he said "100$ a month for now" and then never paid me again, but I never asked about it nor cared. That was how...insignificant this was for me. It wasn't a "Paid Contract" - It was me trusting that he was only doing this as a way to make sure everyone is "paid."

I also went back to my original video introducing OHD and Warfare 1944 and within the first 30 seconds, I mention that "To be transparent, I am involved...kind of, with this project. They've signed me on a...sort of design consultant to make sure this is going to be a good shooter" - So, his accusation of "You said we were friends, but you never disclosed that you were on contract" is...again...another lie.

It seems like once you get over a million subs you lose your mind lol

So. Let me get this straight. In his world. If I work for Walmart. And I go into a target and have a shitty experience and say “hey this target sucks” he’ll be upset with me for not telling everyone I work for Walmart.


An oversimplification I’ll admit. But it seems to me like bluedrake is incapable of separating a paycheck from an opinion.

Bigfry is the kind of guy who can have someone walk up to him and say “hey here’s 100 bucks. Review this product and tell me what you think” and the guy hands him a half baked cake that is literally mostly mush and Bigfry is gonna take that 100 dollars and go “dog this is a literal Shit. Why you didn’t finish making this cake. I’ll taste it. It tastes like flower and cake mix. There’s no flavor. Why would you wanna sell this.”

Now just because he got 100 dollars doesn’t mean he’s gonna go easy on the people.

I realised well into this video that essentially this is what Bluedrake has done: He's formed an opinion on how things should be when it comes to sponsorships and disclosure, then based on his opinion has started calling people out for it. But the thing is, he's calling people out as if they're breaking some kind of rule, moral or literal, that HE has made up in his head. It's essentially like trying to make a new rule for a sport during a match and then trying to get people disqualified for not adhering to the rule you just made up.

Everything else aside if you do have a sponsorship relating to a product, and are making a non-sponsored video, it would be a nice consideration to mention off-hand that the product is from a company that sponsors you sometimes.

As someone who writes and manages contracts and contract amendments for a living, it's painfully clear BD42 simply does not understand how contracts work. Contracts are explicit legal agreements that have defined beginning and end dates as well as defined parameters. Otherwise, it's a shit contract that's essentially not enforceable. Sponsorship contracts are for specific actions that will be compensated usually financially. For those actions the company can certainly depending on the language exert control or influence on the product they are paying for. They cannot however do so for things not covered by the contract since that's out of scope of said contract. If BigFry signed a contract for an ad-read than any video that comes out prior to or after said ad-read is simply not covered. If his contract was for a specific duration of time - he's paid to work for them say 1 video a week for 6 months or whatever than yes during that time depending again on the nature of the contract and the language in it the company can enforce restrictions on Fry, for example if he shits on the game publicly they could if it's baked into the contract they could penalize him or more likely just drop him from the Sponsorship. But that's not what happened here nor is that what BD is alleging. He's alleging that essentially once you even just begin to enter into negotiations or your management company on your behalf begins to have discussions than anything you do is sponsored material and should be announced as such because clearly you are biased and going forward is the same even after the contract is completed. No...just fucking no man. 1st a contract isn't official until all parties sign. You are not a contractor until after that point. Until then you're just a random dude free of legal obligations, yes they can break off negotiations but that's a choice they can make at any time for any reason, that's just how negotiations work bro. 2nd anything not in the scope of the contract is generally irrelevant to the contract short of there being some sort of reputational stuff which these one off ads aren't going to have. Business contracts aren't slave contract FFS. 3rd if his premise was correct about future actions being governed by the old contract than congrats you're no longer a contractor, you're now a full blown employee, go collect all your past due benefits. BD is repeatedly describing an "employee-employer" relationship which is fundamentally different from a "contractor" relationship. Absolutely no company would back BD on this because it would have MAJOR legal and financial implications for them, they would need to pay a fuck load of back wages and taxes and sort out international labour laws etc.
His "loophole" at the end about the company implying a potential future relationship isn't a legal concept, that's just what a positive business relationship looks like? "Hey you did good work for us last year and we see you still are painting us in a positive light we want to do this again" isn't them applying undue pressure or anything, Fry or whoever is perfectly free to do as they choose in those intervening months just like the company is free to choose who they do Sponsorships with. Does that mean Fry or someone may or may not strategically shape their coverage to try and attract a new contract? Sure but...again, that's a choice they are free to make or not make. Contracts do not "imply" things, they either say it or they don't. If they don't than it's not covered by THAT contract.

Also BS was 100% a MASSIVE conflict of interest for BD for those games Fry pointed out. His company he's a significant partial owner of was directly benefiting from the success of those projects, which means he makes more money which means he benefits from making positive videos. Him "not knowing" isn't an excuse, it's incompetence at best

Honestly..... I don't think bluedrake is mental or unstable. I think he is jealous. I think the root of these thoughts he's having stems purely from jealousy. why else would a grown man pocket watch another grown man SO hard, and complain so much about the deals they're getting...? Personally @BigfryTV I don't give a flying fuck who gives you deals or not because at the end of the day, if you think a game is good then that's what you're gonna say. and if you think it's bad, we'll definitely know it lmao. Neither of ya'll are wrong, I think it's shady of the sponsor to expect all content going forward (not just the first sponsored video) to be positive. Bluedrake did say that it is in HIS OPINION, the sponsorship should be CONSTANTLY disclosed in ALL content involving said brand.

As someone who has unsubscribed from Bigfry before, and came back... I am surprised to say that this time around, Bigfry is claiming a massive W. I am no longer subbed to Bluedrake and don't think I ever will be again. In my opinion, when Bigfry fucks up, he owns it and grows from it. My respect for Blue was already falling these last few years and this is the nail in the coffin.
