Installation instructions for R&M inteliPhy – Mounting an AIM System

No matter if it's your data center or LAN. You always want to have a holistic up-to-date visibility of your network. With R&M's inteliPhy, you’ll get it in a fully automated way. The monitoring solution is based on rack mounted sensor bars and analyzers. In this video we show installation instructions.

Automated Infrastructure Management (AIM) systems are the fundamental enabler to be aware of, monitor, and analyse larger networks in real time. Our fields of application here are the IP networks in data centers and company premises.

End-to-End AIM solutions already starts at the single connector and patch panel.

➡️ But how to detect every single plug and port?

R&M's advanced solution includes RFID clips on the connectors and sensor bars mounted on front of high-density patch panels like Netscale 72. The R&M inteliPhy sensor bars can detect every single connector. LED signals the activity of the links and, for example, work orders.

Bus communication cables connects the sensor bars with data aggregators, the R&M inteliPhy Analyzer. The analyzers are located either in the rack or close by in the rack row and connected with the data network.

You can mount all these R&M inteliPhy components in the field. You only need a
- screwdriver and
- wiring tool
to start to make panels and racks intelligent.
