***UPDATE - There have been a TON of comments about whether or not metal utensils can be used on the Pit Boss Ultimate Griddle. I had previously received information that metal utensils could be used. However, after reaching out for clarification, questions about warranty issues, etc., my personal advice going forward would be to use metal utensils at your own risk. The actual User’s Manual states that “the best utensils to use are wood, silicone, or nylon, as these materials will reduce the wear on the cooking surface”. My integrity and the integrity of the information that I present to you is my number one priority! I apologize for any confusion.
ОтветитьMy mindset is functionality, and bang for the buck.
ОтветитьHi Neal, why nothing ever about Char-Griller® Flat Iron™ ?
ОтветитьGreat review answered so many questions I didn’t even know I had. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhy didn't you also include Char-Griller Flat Iron griddle?
ОтветитьThank you for your service! And great info! I’m getting ready to buy 1 of these just not sure which one yet!
ОтветитьGrease trap at the back is a pain in the arse if your bbq is against a wall. Gotta move the bastard all time to empty it
ОтветитьI’ve gone off the Weber and reckon flat tops cook a better steak through sealing then high heat for the char. Can still retain the inside pink just deluxe.
ОтветитьA Million thanks for your honest and unbiased video. 👍🏾
ОтветитьWoow this is what I was looking for straight up info. I’m going for the PIT BOSS
thank you
Black stone for the win!!!
Ответитьdamn.. ive been leaning hard into the camp chef 4 burner and just realized that wont work for me because I plan to sit it next to my pellet grill on my small covered patio, so it wont fit with the left side shelf up that I'll need for the grease tray.
ОтветитьWhich one uses the thickest metal on the top?
ОтветитьHow does the Traeger flat top compare with these?
ОтветитьWhat is your recommendation for a built in griddle? Would it be possible to convert the campchef or pit boss into a built in version that would work with an outdoor kitchen?
ОтветитьSpeaking of brands... Have you looked at the Nexgrill line? They make a 4 burner stainless that's pretty impressive... Just curious on your thoughts. Thanks for all the great content!!
ОтветитьMan u are awesome!!! Thank u for all the time.
ОтветитьYour candid attitude of this is how I use the griddle like it or not is awesome. With that, your videos are very informative. Also, your videographer deserves a significant raise. Keep up the great work.
ОтветитьI love your common sense thought about what's relevant for what someone "needs" . Traeger griddle review please.
ОтветитьSo, as far as i was able to understand your opinion (im german) u told us that ceramic is the best way to go... how thick is this ceramic plate from pit boss ? is it able to store the heat? Mainly im going to do smashed bugers.
ОтветитьFor me. The choice between the black stone or the pit boss came down to how do I prefer to cook. I rarely use any nonstick pans in my house. I much prefer using a cast iron. So I went with the black stone. Not saying the Pit boss isn’t good, but it just wasn’t right for how I like to cook.
ОтветитьThinking of selling my blackstone and getting a grilla primate
ОтветитьLooking for a flat top to take in our RV, and might use at home next to our Big Green Egg. Super helpful video to shape our decision. Thanks for the great content!
Ответитьin colder weather the grill gets cold and hard to heat big volume you may need a heat shield to save gas and jkeepm a higher temp. if it rains- a lid is the cover everyone will need.
ОтветитьIs there a big difference in a 12,000 btu and a 15,000 btu burner when buying a griddle ?
ОтветитьThank you for your honest, informative unbiased video. Breaking it down to the 8 things to consider made a confusion situation so clear going into Part 2; Pros and Cons.
ОтветитьI called Camp Chef last week about my 4 burner griddle having 3 rows of 6 bumps on the surface and was told it was a manufacturer defect, but I was not under warranty so I should buy a new one. All I wanted was for them to tell me the best way to fix the problem.
ОтветитьGreat review, have you tested the Pitboss steel grill I noticed it on their website
Ответитьthanks, nice video.
ОтветитьGreat video. Looking to get into this game and this video was super helpful. Thank you!
Ответитьfor not native english speakers when you say "season" what do you mean?
ОтветитьGood review.
ОтветитьPros and Cons. My choice is Blackstone. Fits every category with me. Very versatile. I have also cooked on flat tops for over 20 years in the military.
Ответить👍👍👍😎🇬🇧
ОтветитьPlease do a tailgating flat top comparison thanks
ОтветитьBought the Members Mark Pro Series 5 burner griddle for $299! Stainless steel cabinet and a 720 square inch griddle top! Great griddle at an outstanding value!!
ОтветитьIt would be great to compare burner design and listed BTU specs and what is ultimately important, heat distribution at cooking settings. Comparing the round burners of some Camp Chefs and the tubular burners of others in combination with any heat spreaders/diffusers welded under the flat top and to keep from warping. And the importance of BTU's on cooking, other than pot boiling left to those 200K BTU furnaces. Thanks
ОтветитьDo any of these work with Gas lines that run from the house? I know some of them specifically only use propane.
ОтветитьI really like the camp chef. Do you think the 600 is big enough for say a party of 12? Thx. I really appreciate your videos!
ОтветитьMy air fryer baskets on my 36 inch Blackstone are very difficult to open. I have to yank hard on it several times to get it open. I don't have any issue getting the warming tray open though and I've switched out the baskets but it doesn't change anything.
Thanks for the videos though I love them!
Where did you get the cover for your Camp Chef?
ОтветитьGreat vid......in the future, eventually when the ceramic coated top wears ......(how long it will last is still in question).....does Pit Boss sell a replacement top for thier griddles so you can just replace the top and not the whole griddle ?? Thanks
ОтветитьRoyal Gourmet - surprised not even an honorable mention :)
ОтветитьI'm legit buying one Friday or Sunday. Thanks Cadre, tremendous video. 👏
ОтветитьI'm only 1/2 through the video. I love how passionate this man gets about, what some people refer to the little things. I hope this makes sense. Great work on this video. Stay passionate amigo. 🍻
Ответитьthanks for the awesome vid . got me a 22 inch black stone griddle with a lid to me the lid is important and i simply want a not to small and not to big of a griddle just for me to use on weekends , holidays and sometimes after work .
ОтветитьThanks for the video, well done. 😉
ОтветитьThank you! I’m so glad I saw this video before I bought the Blackstone….now I know I want a PitBoss Ultimate!!
ОтветитьScratch that ceramic and it's done
ОтветитьA teflon coated "griddle" is nothing more than a supersized everyday frying pan! Very few people use cast iron frying pans because they are hard to clean and a lot work! The whole concept of Blackstone, or the others like it that use cast iron was to provide a large easy to use cooking space that gives that unique and delicious flavor you can only get from cast iron! Why do you think Waffle House is so successful??? Coose what you like, but let's be honest.....you are comparing apples and oranges!!!
