Question I love your videos I've been watching them for the last couple weeks for some reason when I use the receiver to the capture card to the PlayStation 5 it doesn't give 4K only directly from the capture card to the TV and the receiver is 4K HDR

I wish we could get a 2024 update on these... especially one that would work with the Retrotink 4K and the Pixel Morph 4K...

Hi, I'd like to have audio coming from my TV through my Av receiver and a Soundbar simultaneously, how would I go about achieving this?
All three have ARC hdmi connections available, my Av receiver has 4 other hdmi inputs, the Soundbar doesn't have any rca inputs just one hdmi in as well as the arc hdmi and a USB 5 0V connector.

Idk if you Bob or anyone in the chat can help me but are there any good options for 8:2 matrix switch. This would allow my entire set up to be connected and go through the RT4k (once purchased).

I have a different setup. I use Govee sync box that can go to maximum of 4k 60hz, also i use a nvidia shield pro just to use the Govee sync box, and a pc which can go to 4k 120hz and the s95b is connected to a soundbar.

Installed it all yesterday with the escoo 1x4 with the 8k capability, now i dont have access to hdr on the tv with the desktop and switching the code has to be done manually. Everything else is working perfectly Dolby Atmos.

Any suggestion for a switch/splitter which lets me have everything but saves the settings of each hdmi port

I would be interested to know if any of the really basic 2 in 1 out HDMI switches that don't need to be powered would distort image/sound quality and lag. I asked one company named UGREEN that makes switches about this stuff and they said "there is a certain attenuation" (loss of signal strength) when the switch is in use.
I need one because my PS3 needs to bypass HDCP for the Retrotink 4K and the switch functionality is needed because I'm out of HDMI ports on my TV.

I don't suppose you feel like reviewing another switcher/extractor for your amazon shop page? This batch of them is longer available. Generally speaking in your tests, have any switchers added lag, or are the Chinesium factories actually good about that?

Ty for the video!

Would you happen to have any recommendations for 6x2 Matrix boxes with PS3 & PSTV capture support? I was looking into the Monoprice Blackbird 6x2 Model since they're a more reputable name but also found one on Amazon by a brand named Kanaan which claims to support up to HDCP2.2—wondered if I should go with that one in case I ever need to future-proof my setup, but there's not much info on it.

I have two 34 inch widescreen monitors of the same native resolution (3440x1440). I need to have two switched inputs to both monitors (a PC and a Laptop). I bought an Orei 2 in/2 out switch that allows me to switch inputs to each monitor. However, Windows will not recognise the second monitor for extending the desktop, it will only allow copying of the input to both screens. I am thinking this is due to the switch functionality in seperating the input signal to the two outputs whereas I thought the input would be shared to the two outputs. What do I need to allow the two inputs to go to the two outputs as a shred output signal. Is a splitter the right thing for me?

I have a TV with three HDMI inputs and a gazillion game consoles, so I'm looking for an HDMI switch that has a gazillion inputs. The TV also has a complex menu system that makes it a pain to switch HDMI inputs. So I want to leave my TV set to one HDMI input and use the switch to switch among inputs.

So I have an HDMI switch, but it's a "smart" switch that switches to the active source automatically, and this is a pain in the poo-poo hole because if I turn on my PS4 for example, that makes the TV turn on automatically, and that makes all my other game consoles turn on automatically, and the switch switches to one of the other consoles, so I have to switch it back to the console I turned on.

I want a "dumb" HDMI switch that doesn't do this!

I think I need some help here cause I am not sure how to do it.
I got an Odyssey G5 monitor with one HDMI input, I want to connect my MacBook and my PS5 but I also want to extract the audio from the PS5 and send it over my audio interface (either analog or digital connection).

I am thinking, I will run the hdmi cable from my PS5 to an hdmi audio extractor and then the hdmi output from the extractor to an hdmi switcher, which also the MacBook will be connected to it, and then the hdmi switcher out to the monitor?

Is this doable or it will downgrade the picture quality or whatever?

Thank you in advance! 🙏

I have HDMI eARC-compatible soundbar (ATMOS supported). I mainly use PC (with HDMI out) for my media player for Netflix. I use PC monitor for main display with HDMI port (no eARC TV). Which extractor do you recommend to get ATMOS from Netflix to my soundbar using PC? [my scenario for extractor is PC -> HDMI-in , then HDMI audio out (eARC/ARC) --> Soundbar , and HDMI-video out --> Monitor]

AVStar 8K@60Hz 4K@120Hz HDMI 2.1 Splitter is a 4k 120 splitter that can downscale the second port to 1080 120. AVStar 4K@120Hz HDMI 2.1 Audio Extractor Audio Converter is a 4k 120 audio extractor. There's a few 4k 120 switches, I'm currently looking at Kinivo's 8k 4.1 and daisy chaining it with another if needed with their 4k switches daisy chaied for retros. Kinivo's 4k 5.1 switches have one output on one side and an input on the other side so those are great to daisy chain.

I'm trying to figure out if any of this equipment makes sense for "upgrading" my TV and AVR that has HDMI Arc, (no eARC) to capture and pass through Atmos. Or does the TV or receiver or both have to have an Atmos decoder? If I'm misunderstanding and these capture switches are the decoder, then what's the wiring diagram supposed to look like?

Do you have any experience with “Orei” products? I’ve been using their 4x2 UHD matrix for a couple years; seems good to me but I’m curious how it stacks up with more formalized testing. They’ve got a 6x2 HD version that I might check out as well… couldn’t find too much commentary on it outside of Amz reviews, but that 6x2 configuration is a good one that’s hard to find.

Anyway thanks for another great video!!
