Thank you so much GG! for your informative and motivative videos. I saw and folllowed all tricks and tips you provided in videos before 1 day of my interview. I successfully cleared the interview.!
ОтветитьHi GG, what is the ideal response time for the "Why Amazon" question?
ОтветитьThanks, this is very helpful!
I have a phone interview tomorrow, is it normal that I don't have a recruiter? I was initially sent an email requesting my availability for a phone interview and it is scheduled, but no recruiter has reached out.
Thank you GG, you are AMAZING! I feel ready to light up my Loop this week thanks to your insights. I will let you know when I get the offer!
ОтветитьDanke!
ОтветитьThanks! I love the way you share your knowledge. And after watching several of your videos, I got an offer!
ОтветитьLove your videos! I applied direct to Amazon and got contacted for a phone screen. I have not recruiter who can help me find out all the details about the team. What can I do?
ОтветитьThank you for the amazing videos! However one department I never see really touched on is Loss Prevention. I have my first phone screening next week and am having a bit of trouble finding some good tips and tricks regarding this team. I understand it's a lower level role, but do you have any guidance on what I should prepare for? I applied online so I don't have a recruiter to work with.
ОтветитьHorrible audio sorry
ОтветитьHi Gigi,
What if I haven't been asked this question in the phone screens? Should I still keep the answer to 2-3 sentences in the panel round?
This is a very well considered answer. Thank you, GG!
ОтветитьVery helpful advice. Thank you. Can I use the same example of a situation in the phone screen as in an actual job interview?
ОтветитьGG - You helped me get my first position at Amazon. Now I have an internal interview loop (same level L5). Should I have an answer prepared for Why this team? Instead of why Amazon?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьGG - you're the best! Thank you for so much valuable free material and for your so kind efforts and help. World is much better because of people like you, all the best.
ОтветитьHi GG, thank you so much for such informative videos. I followed your videos and have completed my on-site interview in Amazon India and waiting to hear back from them. I feel positive about my interview however one thing is striking in my mind is that I talked about flexibility at work to the hiring manager as I have a small baby around. Will that be a backdrop to my selection process? What do I expect.?
ОтветитьHi GiGi
My interview was held on 20 January for device associate in Amazon but till now no result come now what i do
This was really good. Thank you.
ОтветитьI am truly enjoying your content and also the passion and deep knowledge of the topic. You're amazing at what you do and your advice is applicable not only to Amazon's hiring process but in general because these leadership values transcend Amazon.
ОтветитьHello, really helpful content. I have a query. I am interviewing for marketing position. How to gain knowledge about team. I don't know anyone from team personally. And even through Linkedin, all I can just reach out to people in similar positions and not particularly from my team. Can you please give some advice here? Thanks
ОтветитьThx for the advice! I connected with an Amazon VP who liked my resume, sent me link to job postings, asked if I’d like to schedule an “informational interview” and said her Recruiter would call me…Never heard back (it’s been a month). This is puzzling to me: A) why did she offer an informational interview only B) does she have positions to fill? C) do I write to alert her that I never heard from her Recruiter? Honestly I’m not looking to to prep for yet another intense series of interviews if not connected to an open position (see: “informational”) . Curious to hear your insights re: this unique situation. TYSM!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWith due respect sir,
Amazon hr interviews need tobe monitored.
I mean, they got to be recorded.
Many cases, particularly, women who interview the candidates ate sullen and off mood.
They bring their frustrations and shkve it on the deserving candidates.
Resilt is worthy candidates get rejected amd dismayed.
Amazon is fabulous place to work and prosper.
Candidates are desirous and generally are in a tense frame of mimd, because they dream to work in Amazon.
It hurts. It may reflect on the company, which is wtomg, but, what to do.
This happened recently at visakhapatnam.
Thanks for the content. Do all or most positions sit through a panel interview?
ОтветитьHi GG, I bought and downloaded your speaking notes. You had mentioned there are 127 question in the AIQB. Is it possible to access them anyhow, with or without the sample answers?
ОтветитьNo wonder Cercei would be a bar raiser. She once ruled the 7 kingdoms behind the scenes. "Power is Power"
Ответитьi failed phone screen, it hurt
ОтветитьHi GG, after the final round of interview if selected does the application status change from under consideration to anything else.
ОтветитьExecllent information, and very well communicated! Brilliant!
ОтветитьHi, Thank you so much for lovely video. what kind of question, can we ask to the interviewer? I can't find that video. can you pls. send me the link?
ОтветитьMay you please make a video on strengths and weakness question
ОтветитьHi there! I’ve got an interview for Loss Prevention Specialist, any information would be helpful??? Thanks!
Ответитьgreat information
ОтветитьThanks for the video, do you also coach candidates for the interview preparation at amazon?
ОтветитьYet another extremely helpful video. I cannot thank you enough for taking out the time to put out such insightful and to the point videos for us GG.
Ответитьhello GG loving the videos. Just a quick question. Currently at the final stage of the process and heard you speak about contacting your recruiter. Is it viable for me to email and ask her the above questions you laid out even though we have had no prior discussions on anything other than stages. Also don't want to look as if i am not as knowledgeable on the role within an area of infancy within Amazon
ОтветитьWith this idea of hiring only someone better than 50% of existing workers, which had presumably gone through same screening, wouldn't Amazon be reaching the point when it's getting more difficult to hire people? And how much more are they offering for such a demand?
Ответитьdid anyone notice that there are no cuts what so ever, this is amazing
ОтветитьHi GG! Your videos have been extremely helpful in my interview preparation, thank you for making them. I just have a few questions:
If my panel or final round interview is my first live interview for the position, should my response to the 'Why Amazon?' question still be kept short (2-3 sentences)?
Also, for the leadership principles questions, what is a good length for an ideal response?
Thank you so much again, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Very helpful guidance - thanks kindly for presenting this!
ОтветитьGG - just wanted to say thank you!! I watched a few of your videos and they were very helpful on my prep. I got a job offer earlier this week :)
ОтветитьHi GG, Thank you for all the videos! they have been extremely helpful and i have binged watched them all.
I have a few questions if you dont mind answering -
1. An amazon recuriter has setup a call for a position (Sr. Program Manager) I had applied for. But I no longer see that position on the amazon jobs portal nor on LinkedIn, it wasnt there even the day she emailed me. Is it ok for me to ask if that positon is no longer valid? She'll probably tell me herself when/if we speak but in case she doesn't mention it on the call. On my amazon dashboard I still see that position as 'under consideration' but no hyperlink to the JD anymore.
2. I do not know if that position is L5 or L6, i'm aiming for L6 given the length of my experience in that area. Is it ok to ask the recuriter? provided that role is still available. I assumed all 'Senior Program Manager' roles are L6. And if that position turns out to be L5, can i negotiate for an L6 or does not that happen?
3. If I do make it to the interviews, what is the cadence/layout for the phone screens? is it all LP based or are there other focus areas? this role is non-tech so i was just curious on the format.
4. And in the panel interview rounds, the interviewer does not disclose which LP they are focusing on right? that's for us to extrapolate based on their questions? if that is the case, what if my example for the question addresses a different LP than what they were looking for?
5. In each panel round, I should expect to speak for atleast 3 examples between two LPs correct? For any follow up questions they may ask after I lay my example, those can be straight answers without following the STAR? I mean STAR is for the example itself, not for any follow up/probing questions on the example. Not sure if that makese sense.
Really appreciate your help! Apologies if i have repeated any questions that you may have already addressed before.
Thank you for great tips GG! Does AWS section of Amazon follow similar approach toward interviewing?
ОтветитьGood evening. This material is very helpful! Thank you! I am slowly working through your videos. I had a question about how to work with my recruiter. You mentioned the recruiter should be aligned with me; however, it seems that my recruiter has limited interest in my recruitment. He did not provide me any information about the role outside of the job description and no information about my 1st round interviewers. May I ask for guidance on how to better engage with them or how to better understand the role (non-tech role). Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat work and incredibly helpful. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks, are leadership questions asked during the phone screen, panel or both? Thanks
ОтветитьDo the three 45 min. interviews, all include technical/coding/math questions? I have seen some conversations on Reddit on it. Or are they behavioral questions like the phone screening? I applied for Escalation Specialist in Shipping & Delivery Support. Thanks!
ОтветитьThere doesn't seem to be anything for Data Center engineers. :/ I think I might have a onsite interview coming up as my phone interview went well and I'm awaiting feedback. I'm partially prepared as I went did an onsite last year. Didn't prepare for behavioural question and it was 4 hours of Behavioural principle related questions, and I didn't get the job. I'm going to assume it will be the same thing this year, but I also want to make sure I've prepared adequately for the tech side. The question is, should I prepare more for behavioural or tech questions?
