Its 1,2 not 1,2,3,4
ОтветитьLiked and Subscribed. Great content your putting out man thank you
ОтветитьI use these beats a majority of the time and the best part about them is the versatility with these beats. You can easily make up your own fills, add extra notes to the beat, or if your feeling really saucy, add paradiddles to the disco flipped beat. I tell anyone looking to learn drums to master these beats first, as they are great openers to learning more advanced riffs, one must learn to walk before he can fly. 👍
ОтветитьThis is such a slay
ОтветитьIs it hard to go back to playing slow when you're used to playing fast with blast beats?! Lol
ОтветитьThe Gandalf of Drums
ОтветитьSex is six in Swedish actually lol
ОтветитьNo floor tom!!!
ОтветитьI’ll always enjoy the jokey content he does but the educational/instructional stuff is just as great, definitely helpful to a lot of people
ОтветитьNice pooppy cat tutorial
ОтветитьThis is the first time I've heard 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 notes explained in a way that makes sense to me. I recently found a small tom tom at goodwill, and i bought a snare from Ye Olde Amazon. I've been practicing paradiddles, then got side tracked when I heard some guest musicians come to my school and play djembes and tubanos. I put the drums aside for a bit to play around with some hand drums....I really have a focus problem.
But anywho, thank you for helping me get this sorted in my head!
1 e a 2 e a
ОтветитьClever of you to sneak the Ants Marching beat in there as a lil easter egg
ОтветитьOhhh yuuurrrr
ОтветитьI knew drums would be hard but now that I gotta learn how to count all the way to 4 I'm giving up.
ОтветитьGreat video! Can you make an easy guide on how to make snare and tom fills? An advanced version would be cool too. Thanks and keep up the good work! 🤘
ОтветитьYou are an EXCELLENT teacher
ОтветитьSamus, My virtual friend, Thank you for this video I'm going to practise this for hours so I can work on my timing because right now my timing is just bahee, thanks mate you really helped me with this video
ОтветитьI tried counting along, but for some reason I just kept counting 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2
ОтветитьThis brought me back to middle school band, so simple and yet so beautiful.
ОтветитьBut how do i skip straight to 280bpm blast beats???
ОтветитьPut a gated verb on the snare and its the snare sound from Dream Theater Awake
ОтветитьOHHHHH YUUUUUR
ОтветитьWhen I was learning guitar from magazines… I didn’t like like counting #7 because sev-en (2 syllables unlike the other 7 counts).. so I would say it as “sept” As in the French 7 😅
ОтветитьOooh, I've never done triplets (but how hot would that be?)
ОтветитьHow about a "one and what the, two and what the, three and what the" for the 16ths? Lol
ОтветитьI want to see if you can do this on a practice pad: ⤵️
First play 16th Notes at 100BPM. Then play: Right Left Right. Right Left Right Right RightLeft.
Repeat
Group of Three:
For this one, call in two fellow drummers, and the three of you can practice this on three practice pads. And now speed up the BPM 132BPM
Left and Right drummers Mirror each other.
Right Left Both. Hit middle pad for both with both sticks Right Left, Right Left. Right Left drummer hits middle pad with their drumsticks individually on “Right Left”
Repeat
Middle: Right Left Arms Up. Right Left, Right Left.
Repeat for 28 seconds
Finale: Left and Right hits both their drums and the middle drum three times. And the middle drummer hit his/her pad three times. On the last hit, all three drummers raise both arms up. Once you got this down, you can replace the practice pads with three 16” Floor Toms.
I've been playing music since I was 14. Hearing 1-e-&-a still cracks me up a little bit even after 16 years, lol
ОтветитьFireball helps the meter
ОтветитьAs a non drummer, this is very helpful also for creating my own patterns on my computer.
