Go to Mexico instead. Incoming customs will take you about five minutes tops to clear customs in Mexico.

We went there in 2022, after Covid. DR people got more shrewd comparing before Covid and there is more crime. Not violence but theft. Someone got into our room and safe and took most of our money ( big bills) but graciously left $1 bills. We figured. Somebody from our hotel 😢

Asking folks who have been to Punta Cana recently… in 2019 we went and stayed at the “Excellence Resort”. We paid over 5k for 10 days without taking part in the resort’s “upgraded” portion of the resort. Now we are used to 5 ⭐️ Mexico resort type of resort. The Excellence too was rated 5 ⭐️. We would like to check out a different resort next time. What is your favorite 🤩 resort that takes 5 🌟 to the moon??

Just got home from Punta Cana. This dude nailed it 100%.

I forgot to bring Neosporen and had to pay $12 for a tube of off brand lol.

Also ran out of singles and had to use atm and couldnt find change for my Pesos for days.

And the one thing he didnt mention.. a $1 or $2 tips is a LOT for them. So you dont have to tip much at all!

Lot’s Resort Style Condos throughout Bavaro -Punta Cana & so many good Restaurants outside the resorts plus so many great Beach Club ! Resorts Food is very average ! So much to do outside of the resort ! safe & beautiful international city it has now become ! 😊

I’m here right now at the Grand Palladium in Punta Cana, and I’m lovin it

We go there every year and have an amazing time. One thing I have definitely learned is to bring the singles.!!!!!! I spend about $500 in tip for a week stay and we are treated like royalty every time. We love this place so much that we stay at the same resort year in and year out. The people are beautiful and humble can’t wait to go back in October.

I heard vendors and private tour planners can be quite agressive with tourists at the beaches. That put me a bit off. Would you say it is accurate?

I take offense to calling the buffet “slop.” We find the buffets as having a nice variety of local and international foods. Disappointed in your overviews.

What's it like in November or when best time to go

Go there every winter usually to Casa de Campo so large you need to rent a car do not rent a car from the airport do it at the resort you will spend hours and not get the car you reserved The VIP is expensive they pick you up in a golf cart right from the airplane through the lines are long. I’ve never waited more than a half an hour during Covid I did VIP.

When I went to Punta Cana I had the BEST vacation I ever had. Stayed at an ALL inclusive resort. It had everything I ever wanted. Didn’t do excursions as I had no reason to leave. The night entertainment was top notch and different every night. The Live bands were awesome. The service at the beach shoreline was also top notch and I tipped my waiters accordingly during your visit. Airport, customs, taxi was seamless. Now the bug spray and sunblock, confiscated at the US airport. The only item I purchased at the resort was sunblock. I did go during the off season so not busy at all BUT some ladies wear worldwide clothes seller had their convention during the same time I was their and boy was I treated to some of the most beautiful women from all over the world, they had themes for every days wear 🤪🤪🤪 and since it was an ADULT all inclusive topless/bottomless was visible throughout. That is why I never left the resort for excursions. Looking forward for my next visit. With the airfare, resort, taxi, and plenty of $1 bills for7 days turned out to be an inexpensive high class outing. Goodness 🍒🍑🌮🍆

too loud, too many smokers, too much partying at the places i have been to there. love everything else, are there any all inclusive places there are just for people who want quiet?

What if you want to visit in Punta Cana but don't want to stay in a mega resort and want a quiet area?

This one seems to miss the mark compared to other countries. Local cafeterias are something I look forward to in a foreign country (not on a resort). It gives a good insight into what locals actually eat. What about municipal transit and intercity buses?

Not going to lie, this is some off putting advice. Get off the resorts, use Uber, hang with the locals. Spending all the time on the resorts is no bueno.

As a Dominican that was there less than a month ago, you are on point. Negociate, bring singles, feel free to get out and explore around pubta cana, etc.. also, reserve, now there are a methodology thats all inclusives are using, the reservation to each specific restauran from the first minute you check in. You are accurate. Thank you for making these videos very helpful for tourists around the world!

That tip is major they want a tip for everything.

Something to add and I can't insist on this enough, ALWAYS pay a travel insurance in case you get sick, medicine and private hospitals can be a little too expensive in PUJ. I'm Dominican and worked and lived in PUJ for a while.

Was Global Entry the VIP service that u were referring to that lets u skip the line?

I love that resort but went there many years ago. Can I ask how it is nowadays? I'm looking to revisit there this summer with the kids, unlike the first time. Thank you.
