I'm rewatching One Piece for the third time now and I gotta say this arc is a pain. On one hand it's such slog to sit through but there's so much lore and stuff that would be missed if you decided to skip it. Like the Blackbeard pirates, two new warlords, the introduction Whitebeard, the introduction of Bellamy, the first appearance of Haki, Sky-tech that Ussop and Nami will take advantage of, Poneglyphs/Raftel, and some more screentime for Robin so you that can really care about her before Water 7 and before the next Strawhat joins the party. So much stuff that is very much cool but it's surrounded by filler that I wouldn't had minded all too much if wasn't sandwiched between Alabasta and Water 7 which are significantly better sagas. That being Skypiea is not bad but not worth the time it'd take to watch it all over again. Thankful for this recap though because I was dreading this arc since I decided to rewatch the series.

I read this arc about a year ago then took a break so here I am because I don't remember half of this lol
