Squeaky pedal? Here’s how to fix it

Great simple, short format, easy information, got my like. Although this doesn't quite answer my question. I can slap one pedal and it spins freely like a kid flicking a fan but on the other pedal I slap it and it's... for the lack of a better term, gummy. So to recap, slapping each of them with the same force one spins maybe 10 or 12 revolutions and the other maybe 4 or 6. I have yet to do anything about it but they are both coming apart soon since I want to even everything out. I wouldn't think a properly greased pedal should spin too freely or be gummed up, somewhere in between those two sounds closer to right to me. Anybody have any input?
