Something to consider might be the soil that particular rice in China is grown in. Besides the actual less arsenic than in American rice (California being the safer exception), they may have all sort of good things rice from other countries simply won't have. Clean water, good soil, etc.

100% on the arsenic in US rice. Unless it specifically stats it is grown in California, stay away from it. I do not care how cheap it is. The US in general has one of the world's leading levels of arsenic in rice.

And the only reason the FDA does not condemn it, is because they have no choice or people would be freaking out. Adults have large bodies, so they can eat rice daily easier. But smaller children or even babies can get arsenic poisoning. It's why certain countries have banned or put warning labels on baby products that use rice.

Funny tho, the chinese ones wash it in a river. Knowing china the water might have arsenic in it and when you look it up you can find papers about "Arsenic-mediated hyperpigmentation". Might explain the never greying hair lol
