Your First Day | Rimworld Ultimate Beginners Guide 2023 1.5+

I've never been huge on colony sims/strategy games, growing up I almost solely played games where I controlled 1 character in real time. When I discovered Rimworld it quickly became one of my alltime favorite games, It's such a mind-blowing experience that never gets old. Rimworld is the 🐐

When i use the seed Begginers Guide I get the same world but the factions are in different places, not only that but theres a faction super close to the tile that the video suggests starting on. Anyone else? I tried resetting all my settings, making sure I not only have no mods enabled, but also no mods even installed.

I followed along,, during the setting up of my corn fields a flash storm destroyed all of my pawns and food fml

Why does every beginners guide always has to be without DLC? The DLCs change so much about the game, please make somebody make a simple beginners guide with all DLCs because there are alot of people that start out straight with all DLCs (even if they shouldn't)

I dunno man.. why is simple thing as killing a rat so complicated in this game. Suddenly one of my chars is on the other side of the map hunting a racoon. I will give it some more time, but maaan this is frustrating at first 😅

My tip for anyone beginner... Be really cautious with caves, especially when you get a notification "Ancient danger"... Immediately go away and don't go back until you can blow up the enemy somehow lol

Been really into 2D games lately. This one seems really hard and in depth. Seems really fun though

so i started with 1 colonist and i got a event of a paralyzed colonyst that i could heal after 30 days so i said "well i could do that" i took him in and give him a beed then i noticed he needed drugs in order to survive and since i just started the game i dont have them so i just placed a wall around him, letting him die of starvation cuz cant banish him

granit and marble is best ok but why i mean i could google it but wouldve been interesting why that may be

I never played the tutorial (I didn't even see it I'm too blind)

I was struggling a lot with the cable as i thought electricity cable will place a L shaped cable therefore i have not placed any ! looool

I just started playing the game and from what I saw from other videos, I knew I had to check some beginners guides out, because it looked very indepth where I would've definitely got lost in. The tutorial did a little but still not enough. After watching this, I started my first colony and everything did go well at first... then I build the research table to research the battery... nobody wanted to do it. I had one but I couldn't get him to sit down and research because it was to "long term" for him, so he did other stuff until he sat down by himself and researched. Was not considering that. I picked the others out as recommended, but that one thing took a way longer than it could've XD

I’m sure it’s a controversial opinion but for those who decide to do manual work priorities I happen to recommend having nothing set at 1. Do your priorities all as 2 is first, then 3 and 4 being low priority. My logic on it is that by keeping 1 out of the loop when you need something done right then and there you can set it to 1 and everyone assigned to that job will immediately start that task.

Noobert... I have over 1k h in Rimworld play with extrem difficultys... If this game would have Vanilla achievements I would have them all... But damn.... The Shelf Link Funktion is So damn mind-blowing I really Hope you Get a LOL Pen Artillery Round in a Huge raid downing Them all!!! Good video, 😍❤️

Be careful with Randy, I got hit with two toxic fallouts that lasted an insanely long time.

All my pawns have died within two gameweeks, this has happened to all 5 of my runs and im even playing on peacefull. I'm next level shit

did i do somethiing wrong here? my crashlanded 's dont start out with half these supplies? I was thinking it was cause i messed with Prepare Carefully mod but i took that off im starting with the basic animal knife bolt action and a revolver but then only like 3 packaged meals and very lil wood or any other resources??

do this again but for medieval overhaul that thing really need it

i have a question tho when there's wood or some other resource on the ground it says my colonists are forbidden from picking it up and i have to manually press f to allow them each time is there a way to make them auto-pick this up?

This guide is absolutely unless you have a general idea of what you are doing which defeats the whole purposes of even looking at a guide in the first place. This is just a bunch of generalistics and nothing specific or concrete to tell me how to play the game.

- What are the buttons I press/what do I click on?
- How do I assign people to tasks?
- What do the menus do?
- How do I literally do anything?

Ic0n Gaming (which is a channel I found after getting frustrated with this video has a much better long term tutorial series where I learned the following:
- What each tab at the bottom of the screen does.
- Why Noobert is calling them "prawns" and not "colonists".
- How to assign colonists to tasks.
- How to build a base.

If Noobert reads this my main two pieces of criticism are 1. You're going way too fast. 2. The mechanics you're showing are neat, but it would be nice if you could be more specific like how Ic0n Gaming was in the videos I watched of his.
