Our short-lived native Alaskan congresswoman, Mary Peltola, was excellent on the kroger-albertson merger. She spearheaded efforts in Congress. I participated in a statewide call she did to explain the situation to everyone who wanted to join, and she really understood the issue. Our remote location would have suffered greatly under the merger.
Unfortunately we pitched her out after one cycle on ranked choice, as well as as progressives and independents losing across the board state-wise.
Was still typing this comment when I heard the final segment from the Alaska voter talking about ranked choice. It was the last good outcome straw we were holding onto here and we were sweating it out. I hope they don't figure out a way to reverse the results, but don't put it past them. The anti side of the issue was extremely dumb- it was "too confusing" they claimed. Ok well then just vote as you would have without it, no one's stopping you. The real reason is because it disrupted entrenched extreme right power far too much.

Khan wasn't Bidens choice. She was Warrens for the deal made to back Biden over Bernie. Imo crediting Biden for Khans accomplishments isn't appropriate.
