How painful is this prosedure and the needle how bad is it

I want to reassure everyone that is very quick. The worst part is when they put the middle in at the beginning but after it’s very quick don’t worry

That crap hurts, the lidocaine hurts to. I just had one less than a hour ago and I feel like I felt after my tonsils were removed. Every swallow hurts. I took ibuprofen and have my ice pack. If it needs to be done again I already told the doctor knock me out.

Just had mine done today and it was very painful. 😢 I have high pain tolerance and did not expect it to hurt that way. I felt the poking inside the nodule and the pain flowed through my ears, head, and gut. Although, maybe it’s because the numbing cream didn’t set properly. No other anesthesia injected as well. Gladly, my doctor guided and comforted me throughout the procedure.

Please make sure your anesthesia is set before going through the procedure!

What would happen if you swallowed while the needle was in your thyroid

Does IR doc do FNA or endocrinologist do FNA?
