i watched htis for the first time yesterday, such a masterpiece
ОтветитьThe one Film I've been reminded of seeing Housu is the DAISIES (1967 by Vera Chytilva). Not at all horror but an anarchic comedy. But please try it, if you don't know it.
ОтветитьThis was one of the few films that would kickstart a new horizon of Cinema I had yet discovered, I'm so glad to see another person speak on a film I love for its silliness and its background that can rightfully be shared to anyone🎥
ОтветитьThey should make an American version of that movie and get the insidious director to make it
ОтветитьMade me want egg fu yung
ОтветитьWow.
ОтветитьDumb
Ответитьjust watched it and it's my new favorite movie
kung fu is literally more powerful than god
“Beds, and clocks, and flying wooden blocks; a completely crazed kaleidoscopic cavalcade of candy colored carnage.”
ОтветитьI think thats like kurama 😂
ОтветитьWow were have u been
ОтветитьIn My Opinion This Is Like As If I Directed A Movie About My Experiences With Trauma, Grief, Loss, Anxiety, And What It Feels Like To Have A Disability And Feeling Like You Might Get Bullied And How You And Other People Are Treated Because Of Those Specific Disabilities Coming From Someone Who's Autistic With A Few Disabilities Like Myself.
ОтветитьI'm so in love with how this film portrays unresolved trauma and how it can easily become generational.
ОтветитьOkay but really important question, where can I watch/buy this movie?
ОтветитьNow I think about it as a child I was always scared of a piano lid falling on top of my hand
ОтветитьJust watched it. I went in completely blind, didn't even read the sinopsis. Crazy experience, to say the least.
ОтветитьI can’t wait to watch this!!!
ОтветитьI’d love to watch it, but the flashing colors could give me a seizure 😂
Ответитьfound your channel by complete chance today when i was searching for something. now i’m obsessed. cheers.
ОтветитьI have a theory. In the ending of the movie, we see the actors out of character. However, here's how I think this scene fits into the context of this story. The girls are technically ghosts now. The ones that died, excluding fantasy and gorgeous, though, fantasy could still be alive or dead, we don't see her death, and it's unknown if she died or not. Though, this scene could be a sign that the ghosts of the other girls are either in heaven, hell, or are just trapped. They're most likely trapped, and the cycle will repeat, freeing the previous ghosts. This scene could possibly signify that, after killing a new victim, the women we see burning, and perhaps a few others, (Say, I least six or seven other young, unmarried girls,) the ghosts of past victims are free, including gorgeous. The ghost of her aunt is now possessing another girl. In the end, I feel AWFUL for the girls. Gorgeous was literally betrayed by her aunt by getting possessed. That's kinda unfair. I still can sympathize with the aunt, a little bit, but what she did to these girls is awful.
Ответитьwas this movie scary? just wanna know cuz I'm looking for a really scary movie for me and my girl
Ответитьthe sequl has the best title ive ever heard
House 2 : the second story
Anyone else reminded of Mario 64 the haunted house level that had the piano chomping at you and dresser drawers getting flung at you. What a direct inspiration this movie had on the Mario 64 team
ОтветитьHES BACK
Ответитьi love this channel
Ответитьmissed this when it first came out. glad to see you're still active. hoping to see more from you again soon. This channel is excellent!
ОтветитьDamn that’s good parenting right there!
ОтветитьLove this film and this video
ОтветитьNow I see where they got the ideas for making stage 6 the house of hell from Monster Party nes.
Pure genius at best.
One of my favourite movies! ❤
ОтветитьBeen meaning to watch this for several years.
Thank you Kaptain for pushing me toward watching it.
Found another favourite! Love ya Kristian :)
It’s like cotton candy!
ОтветитьMissed you, thanks again
ОтветитьA 10 year old? I refuse to believe that
Edit:But then again that ending did have some surrealism only a child could think of.
So weird
ОтветитьHorror as a means of catharsis. That's definitely something I resonate with. It's helped me so much dealing with anxiety.
ОтветитьSometimes it’s nice to here others cope through trauma with horror art like me
ОтветитьWhy did this video make me cry? 😭
Ответитьaren't you part of the cinema analysis greats with everyframe, lessons from, cinefx movie lists? I thought you all died out.
ОтветитьSUPER MARIO 64
ОтветитьI accidentally turn on this movie while searching for another House movie. Man, this is a crazy movie. Watch it, no regrets.
ОтветитьCrazy, I discovered Barefoot Gen 6 days ago. Soul crushing
ОтветитьThis was written by 10 year old? Ive seen trailer like 100 times for a specialty channel here in toronto. Thats awesome
ОтветитьOne of my fave video essayist since way back in 2016. Just never disappoints with how artfully written and edited the video essays are.
ОтветитьI like how the Movie is a bit old which fits to the theme of spookiness.
ОтветитьYour description of the meaning of horror as a genre is spot on. I realized the same thing after experiencing Omori (amazing game btw).
ОтветитьAnyone know where it’s streaming?
ОтветитьReminds me of the film Erin got from gabe for the Halloween party on the office 😂
