A whole week of YARN! Bamboo Fair Day 1

I made my first handmade sweater in that bamboo fair. I worked it without a pattern and zero garment experience, so there's a few errors in it, but I'm kind of obsessed with it whenever I wear it. The yarn just feels so nice even years later after many washes. You're gonna love the finished object!

OMG, same! My knitting journey has been the same! I'm still in the failing class. There should be a support group for us crocheters who want to learn how to knit and just can't wrap our brains around the motions! 😠

This yarn is so pretty, I will have to check it out but I already spent my yarn budget this month. I learned to knit and crochet when I was 5 years old but I couldn't cast on. I just think that my mom tried to teach me the long tail cast on and I was too young to get it. Anyway, I had to have my mom cast on for me whenever I wanted to knit something so I would just rather crochet. I wish I could knit like you because I think it would be faster. Just like in crochet there is no wrong way to hold the hook and tension the yarn in knitting there is no wrong way to knit either way of holding the yarn when you knit is correct.

Lol, you started thinking about wearing that beach cover up on vacation and almost forgot about the knitting! Hope your migraine goes away soon. 👙🌞

WOW, some people just got to hate, telling you that you are knitting incorrectly is like telling a knife holding crocheter that they are crocheting incorrectly because they are a pencil holding crocheter. I say what ever works for your creative powers, run with it♥🧶and I feel for you and don't know how you are filming with a migraine. I suffered with extreme migraines from age five until I entered menaphause and praise God I haven't had a headache since. 🌺Glad the air is now working just in time for this crazy heat wave. Bamboo and bamboo blended fibres are my Absolute faves 🧶💕
I also love tencel in general, and recently tried a yarn 50% soy fibres 50% cotton it's also very soft and feels somewhat similar to the bamboo blends :)
Here in Europe, they also make yarns with algae fibres called "seacell" form Katia also very nice to the touch :))

Sorry you’re not feeling well; I’m amazed you can stand to be on camera with a migraine. I’m surprised anyone would tell you that Continental knitting is the wrong way to knit; it’s quite popular and completely intuitive for a crocheter because as you said, you do everything exactly as though you’re crocheting. My knitting game changed completely when I switched from English style to Continental. There are several very famous knitting instructors who knit continental. It is not technically “wrong” but rather unusual to knit entirely through the back loop. I’d love to make a top with this yarn; it looks wonderful. 💕

can you compare this cotton quality to hoobii? they look silky. im still not able to compare prices/values per yardage, since im such a noob. >_<
