This Open World RPG Could Be The BIGGEST Game of The Year

8 million "isn't bad". Yeah, lol, it's actually a huge success. Most games don't get anywhere near that number and for a game that's labeled as "niche" or "obscure", these numbers are insane. 1 to 2 million copies would fall under the "not bad" range. I'm sorry. I just had to point out how goofy that line was.

Really because the monsters and monster Hunter world aren’t mythical creatures as well. Have you actually played that game?

Would it be fair to say Dragons Dogma is more like Dark Souls mixed with WoW than it is like Dark Souls mixed with Skyrim? Can you tell I haven't played it? Lol

I never got past the jank of the first one. It was all just too "meh" for me.

I tried to play the 1st one when it released and later with all the stuff added and for some reason I just can see why people love this game but for me I can’t keep my focus on it I get to the main town after the 3 headed serpent and I end up not picking it back up and have to keep restarting my file because I can’t remember how to play

If DD2 is Dragons Dogma but with an actual full storyline with fleshed out characters I will be extremely happy. I loved the aesthetic and the action but I desperately wanted more story behind all the cool landmarks and enemies.

I'M so hyped u have no idea i loved the first one and the dlc was actually insane imo ready to reach lvl infinite like in the first one (i hope stats are not based on what u lvl like the first one) for example if u lvl up a physical class and at the end u want to try mage your magic atk would be way lower then it should if u only used mage from start

I have a feeling this game is going to face a lot more criticism than people expect...

It's been hyped a LOT the last few months, so a ton of eyes are on it, but a lot of recent news related to the game is trending in a not great direction. You saw the first bit of it with the 30 fps announcement, then again with Capcom announcing it'd be their first $70 game. But with how much people flipped out over Starfield being 30 fps, I think a lot of gamers won't even be aware until they play it for the first time (either that, or the 30 fps "outrage" is just typical console wars BS & nobody really cared).

Capcom's been doing great recently, but I'm worried first time fans will have insane expectations & be surprised when they actually start playing. Hope I'm wrong though.

I really enjoyed Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen and am really happy they are doing a sequel.

Well, you guys sold me on Just Cause 3 so now im heading out to buy Dragon's Dogma.

It's definitely a reboot. They mentioned it when the first 15 minute gameplay vid came out. DD2 is 100% the game they envisioned back in 2012

Was a fan of the shadow of the colossus type boss climbing. Made the battles with the monsters much more involved.

Game is made for teens who have time. As an adult with many hobbies and limited time, there are many many games to play and I have to carefully choose which to dedicate my time to. Unfortunately, Dragons Dogma is just too generic for me to play. Elden Ring was not.

Does the game has a good storyline?

At the beginning you compare the game with Skyrim. What you seem to have forgotten is that the greatness of Skyrim wasn't the combat or the character creation and neither the character development. It was the fantastic stories the game was telling.

And as the game really looks like monster hunter...I fear it will only have some cheap Diablo Story where the main focus will be to ignore it completely and just hack and slay yourself through the world.

Can't wit to play it as I loved the 1st Dragons Dogma, but here's the thing, can you actually swim in this 1, can you go into the water without the water killing you...

What's really fuckin annoying to me is the fact that I've been praising dragons dogma since day one. Recommending it to everyone, asking people if they know about it so I could find someone to talk about it with, and no one. Fucking no one had ever heard Of the game. Or in the off chance they did, they just shit in the game saying Skyrim and demon souls was better. And now that the sequel is coming out, everyone's a god damn dogma guru fanboy Chad. What's more, is the people giving opinions on the new one without having ever played the first.

I believe the original is on game pass if anyone wants to try it out before 2 comes out

i believe the reason why the story seems the same is because the story of 2 takes place in a alternate universe to dd1 instead of being a direct sequel.

I already know the combat and gameplay is gonna be great so the only thing I wish they'll improve is to make the NPCs more engaging and interesting. I barely remember anyone from the first game and the only people you spend the most time with are your pawns and they aren't exactly brimming with personality. And at the end of the game where you had to save your soulmate or whatever, mine turns out to be some random merchant that I don't even remember talking to that much.. 😂

Needs coop to get my attention. Single player is just boring after 2 hours.
