If Star Wars games had Lore Accurate Lightsabers | Asmongold Reacts

The biggest problem about realistic lightsabers that people do not seem to understand is that it has nothing to do with Disney that they are not realized in games. Puti it like this: If you have a sword that can cut through almost anything, you have to explain why it cannot cut through some things. A door for example. Are all doors made of super material that resists? Furthermore: Every fight is basically pointless. "Oh you have a blaster? Single attack, you are dead" Because they cannot block. Cant do nothing. And an enemy that cannot hope to fight you is not an enemy and thus more or less pointless. And yes I get the power fantasy but if you are a game developer you have to ask these questions gameplay wise. So this is not Disney or anyone breaking the lore because "Oh fuck that" this is literally them going: "We have a thousand problems originating from one thing.. so why fix those instead of fixing the cause?" I would do the same thing to be honest.

There were mods to Jedi Academy that made lightsabers work pretty much like that. One of them also added a whole bunch of characters from the movies, with voices and fighting styles. As well as maps. That was awesome!

Yeah I hate the Disney era lightsabers.
They are stuck on "stun mode".

OG lightsabers cut through just about anything.
Armor? SLICE
Some trooper trying to block the saber? SLICE!
Big triple layered door? SLICE!

The one cut, one kill blade.

But then Disney nerfed them and brought back everyone ever killed by them, like Maul.

That's pretty much what you get in the Warframe.

The fact that they will never actaully do this is pretty ironic because "lore accurate lightsabers" are the entire reason why star wars is even popular in the first place.

Isnt this Star Wars Battlefront 2 with some modpacks? Graphic seems enhanced, Soundpack 4 sho.. Some redesigned Cutscene n all.
The Characters, Lightsaber & colors, movement patterns e.g. seem alot like that Game.

This is why I loved playing the Jedi Knight games.The first was prime at cutting of limbs, second did okay, but the third they went soft. Every star wars game with lightsabers after that was disappointing, just felt like the Rey saga as if you were hiting stormtroopers with a baseball bat rather than a lightsaber

This is literally the reason i refuse to play Jedi Survivor and its ilk--the horrifically censored lightsaber combat, that isnt even on par with what we got over 20 years ago in Jedi Outcast. Disney forced the games to have this disgustingly sanitary and "safe" lightsaber combat against any humanoids and it really ruins the game for me

this is still not accurate, based on how much energy is in that blade, the moment it penetrated living body, it would turn all the water into steam, causing violent explosion, basically one hit kill that explodes enemy into body parts. Almost like throwing an ice cube into volcano.

If Disney likes money, then they'll make a SW game this brutal. The vast majority of SW fans are adults anyway.

Accurate plasma bolts would be sick, too. And thermal detonators. That universe has some gruesome murder options!

It's crazy how much money these games could make if they just stop trying to market everything to "all ages"

It's weird because they explained it when they made up cortosis which explains why storm troopers might be resistant to it. Doesn't explain why some random toad monster or any creature not wearing armor can somehow withstand having their limbs sliced by burning plasma blade.
